  1. Hi well I will try & answer some of your questions, on I-130 question 21 if you cannot type it in then just use a black pen, any thing like passport, birth certificates, marriage certificates you can send in photocopies of them as you might not get the originals back. If Vancouver is where you went through US immigration then put that, yes label any photos with date & place, as for the address you are sending it all to if you want to send it by express mail then send it to this address USCIS ATTN; FBAS 131 SOUTH DEARBOURN-3rd FLOOR. CHICARGO IL 60603-5517

    Good luck

  2. When I had my medical on the 17th of this month, the basic cost was $150 which included the physical, PPD test, basic screening blood tests & it was only for syphilis, it was also tested for Varicella as I could not remember having chicken pox that cost an extra $40 it showed that I did have chicken pox when I was younger lol, in total we paid $345 as I had to have mmr, td & flu jabs. So I do think that $1250 is way over the top just for blood tests.

  3. Hi

Any supporting docs that you need to send ie- birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate, divorce papers & so on only need to be photo copies, as you will need to take the originals to your interview. If you did send off any original certificates you might never get them back. As for any of the forms you fill in you have to send the original one in that you have signed but keep a photo copy of it.

    Good luck

  4. Hi GALBA78

I meant to put this with the copy of your quote lol, I'm in a similar position as you so I know how you feel, it's not an easy decision to make & you often feel torn up inside but now the journey has been started it has to be seen through to it's end. As has been said before everyone makes this journey in different ways & at the end of the day it's through personal choice in what way it's done.

  5. I can understand certain frustrations from those who have gone the longer route and filed for a K1/CR1 however those that do decide to drop everything to stay and file from a tourist visa also have to go through the consequences of that decision as well. I know from my own personal experience it was not an easy decision to decide to not get on a plane and go home. I didn't get to say goodbye to my family and friends and I know I hurt a lot of people by doing that. I had to quit my job suddenly after ten years and suffer the consequence that my reputation with that company may well be tainted. I had to put the burden on my brother to clear out my apartment, sell my things or put them in storage. I only have a suitcase of vacation clothes to live with at the moment until I can get someone to send or bring things over. I lost my security deposit on my apartment as I left so suddenly, terminating my phone contract early was expensive and overall financially it is a struggle not being able to work yet. I am going to miss my sisters baby being born in a couple of months. The hardest was I didn't get to have my family and friends at my wedding... For some people they couldn't do that and that is why they go home and file for a K1 but for my own personal situation my relationship won and it was more urgent to stay with my now husband. Did I choose the easier option? Well I think it is a matter of opinion and depends on each person's own circumstances. I'm only at the start of my journey but I'm very grateful that we were able to decide to stay together and AOS as it may well have saved our relationship that had been weakening due to the distance.

  6. Hi

I had the same problem that I could no longer see my I-94 so I contacted my local Deferred inspection site which I found on the cbp.gov site there are 70 around the US I contacted my local one & I was told that the system had me down as not in the US any more, so the cbp officer I was talking to rectified/updated the system so that it was showing me still in the US, My I-94 is now again available for me to print off.

  7. Hi & hello, I have been looking at this site off & on for a bit & I have decided to join so that I can ask you all out there for some help please, I am currently filling in my forms to do my AOS & I have some questions that I need some clarification with it's to do with I-485 part 3 Processing Information part C, I have put in the boxes at the top the information about my military service as I was in the British Army, then I came down to the "Have you EVER" questions, the two questions in particular are number 15a, Have you EVER Served in, been a member of, assisted in, or participated in any military unit & so on. The other question in part 3 is number 18, Have you EVER received any type of military, paramilitary, or weapons training. I hope people will understand why I have asked this.

Thank you for taking time to read this

    Brian
