  1. Hi All-

its been a while since I actually posted on here. It's time to soon apply for removal on conditions and my hubby and I are collecting all the necessary evidence.

As I came across the tax returns, I noticed that we filed jointly for 2006 but my hubby, since I was not working at all in 2005 and came mid of the year from Germany, went ahead and filed married but not jointly (early 2006 we were not thinking of the removal of conditions requirements).

Can someboy advise what to do?

as to the other materials: this is what we have so far: Any comments are greatly appreciated:

checking joint account statements (2005, 2006, 2007 copies) from two different financial institutions we are banking with

copies of health insurance with both our names- we had two different ones so I will submit both

Sprint cell phone family plan with both numbers- one recent bill

one recent electricty bill with both our names

car insurances with both our names- statements covering 2006, 2007

3 notarized affidavits to validate our marriage from family and friends that been knowing about us since the very beginning of our relationship six years ago

    joint tax return copy 2006

copy of leases from the two apartments covering the 2 year time period

renters insurance showing both our names- policy and bill

30 pictures 2005-2007, including family and friends on some of the pictures

    recent Comcast bill

Any input as to further evidence, but in particular the 2005 tax return issue, is appreciated.

    thank you, guys!!

  2. Phil J,

yes, Central Blvd. thats were the interview wtook place. Its the Department of Homeland Security and its on the Northside. its very close to Intercontinental Airport.

Be there early because its gonna be packed. Lets say 20, 25 minutes earlier and you will be fine. There will be many couples, people waiting to be interviewed but we only waited 15 minutes until my name was called and the interview was about 15-20 minutes itself.

Be prepared to take everything with you, still, because you never know who the officer will be...

    GOOD LUCK!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! m-happy2.gif
  3. hi everybody,

I just wanted to share my Greencard Interview experience with everybody here in the forum.

First of all, I got approved and I am really happy! It went very smooth and the immigration officer was very friendly.

We brought everything with us, originals and copies of all the things that were mentioned on the checklist.

However, she did not even wanna see most of it! She asked us how we met, where we both live now, and what we do. Then, she said that our paperwork was done properly in the past and therefore she only wants to see the rental agreement and joint bank account. Of course, the pay 2 stubs and that was it!

No pics, no vaccination supplement, nothing else she asked us for! We were really surprised about that!!

Oh yeah, then she took my passport, took the i-94 out, kept the EAD and stamped my passport saying that I am being approved for I-551. She told us that I will get the greencard in 1 or 2 weeks.....

Finally, she explained that the conditons have to removed end of 2007 by filling out this form i-...whatever.. I forgot. I am approved !! that matters!!

Good luck to all of you!!
