I will be applying for my permanent green card in September and I will be traveling to India to give some exams in the same month. My question is will I be able to reschedule my biometrics? How long do you think I can postpone my biometrics???

Hi I'm currently on a CR1 visa. I have received my green card and Ssn and will also be applying for the permanent green card soon..

My question might sound stupid..

Will I need a an Indian visa to travel to India even when I have an Indian passport??

Im on the same boat except im just planning ahead of time..i will be sending my i-751 on september 1st 2016 and i plan to travel internationally for atleast 2 months around october last week..

I just wanted ask..(lets assume they call me for an interview)..how long after sending the i 751 do we get called for the interview??? I just started going through the whole process..i really have to be in my home country as i plan to write my exams for my grad...

Finished my medicals and just back home. Absolute zero fuss about anything! Went on smooth except post immunizations, barely can lift my hand..lol.. Now that one thing is checked off the list, Off to biometrics tomorrow

No u don't have to send 1-864a if u don't want to. Ur sponsor can send w2 to show his individual income. Did u send w2 with the package?

No I didn't..ill make sure I take it along to the interview. .

But why does the checklist say that the total income does not match the total income on the tax returns..even when it matches?!

Hi I know this was asked several times before but I'm still confused..

I received an email from nvc stating that I meet the minimum requirements for the interview but I also got a checklist for my joint sponsors I 864..it states that my joint sponsor needs to send 2013 tax info and his total income must match the total income on 1040..

My joint sponsor files his taxes jointly with his spouse..but his income alone meets the minimum cut off..

So I did not use the I 864a..will that be a prob?

Also my joint sponsor sent 2013 tax returns and mentioned the correct income as mentioned on the tax return..but stillgot a cchecklist and this same checklist for the second time..

What could have gone wrong?

I never sent an email..just sent a letter stating the reason along with supporting papers..along with my checklisted docs..on 22nd July..

Just got a case complete email!!

Last scan date July 22nd!

I did send an expedite request but never got a confirmation..so maybe my case got expedited

Email nvcinquiry@stadifferenceov and put your case number in the subject line. I sent a request in 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I read they only expedite in life or death situations but who knows

I got a checklist today..just have to send my marriage certificate..do you think sending an email to expedite would make a difference? Or would it take the usual 30 business to even view the expedite request?

Could someone please tell me if there are any circumstances under which one can expedite there case to the nvc? And what's the procedure to expedite it?
