  1. My wife lives in Japan and we've never tried that, but our lawyer said just "Whether try to enter US or not, it depends on you. But as far as I could say, all our clients, who tried to travel to US, could enter with no problem as a fact."

A lawyer can never say "You can enter" considering his responsibility. Also we can't say because if the probability is 0.1%, when an immigration officer decides "No", there's no way just go back to our country from an US airport :o

In my opinion, if your country is nearby US and the cost is not so high for u, it's definitely worth trying

  2. Yes.

Petitioners of last December begin to get approved so far, though at a little more slow pace than we've expected.

Next month for January people, and this June would be for February people!! :dancing:

I expect that some who are lucky will be approved in June, most of us approved in August and September, and who has a more complicated case (for USCIS) takes more time..

I hope everyone goes smoothly :clock:

  3. OMG OMG OMG... Today is our anniversary. I kept telling my husband our noa2 would come on our anniversary... He said, "No way that's gonna happen." Guess what... at 1:15pm the site was updated and we are approved!!!! Yay!!! Now on to the NVC we go. Our I-130 was received on November 25th so 5 months and 3 weeks for us. SO excited!!!

    Hooray! Congrats!! (F)

And I saw your timeline and can have some perspective that Nebraska is working for the latter half of November petitioners.

Keep up that pace, plz

  4. any updates on February filers? :clock:

I think NO, but USCIS is moving although very slow.

Some people whose PD is April or March got approval already, but averagely, I imagine USCIS is now processing people in the middle of November.

(A couple of petitioners on the Nov thread got approval on this weekend)

At that pace, we would be approved on August or September.

I hope it'll be faster, because they announce that 5 months :clock:

I hate to think that USCIS is content with just approving someone who applied recently and reduced the average period to 5 months...

"5 months" should be for all except for in cases additional check is needed

  5. btw, not sure if someone will be able to answer this question but how are the cases sent to these service centers? (Nebraska, cali, etc). I thought it depended on your state? For example my wife is from cali and our case went to nebraska :/

    guessing its random assignments?

The probability is not even for sure, but there is no official announcement and we can't see only after our cases are actually sent to one of those centers.

  6. 10 weeks after NOA1, and we still haven't heard anything. Last update was 25 feb, our case is still under "initial review'

when should we start calling to make sure they didnt lost our file?

They currently say it takes 5 months to approve our cases but cannot do so.

However we see some apparent improvements as there are a lot of Oct/Nov/Dec 2013 and even a few Jan 2014 petitioners approved in this forum!

I think we should wait at least 5 months from your PD, praying for their much harder work :clock:

  7. I assume this data includes people from Philippines or others who can take expedition process due to the typhoon.

We can see, also on this site, some philippine people applied on Feb and March this year already gets approved.

And we sometimes exclude those special cases when talking about the processing time.

As a matter of fact, for most people who can't take expedition, October is the currently processing time and November will be soon.

Does anyone know if the processing times on the VJ link below are correct? It says that NSC is processing I-130s from January 12, 2014. I've been reading this thread and so far, I see that other VJ members have said NSC is working on October, possibly Nov. 2013 cases, not 2014.

  8. Finally got the NOA1 hard copy..

Praying for the NOA2 to follow..

Btw, how come I can't still see my case status in USCIS website? How long does it usually take?

Can't you see your status on the URL below?

    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

You should just input your receipt number written in your NOA1 and push the button.

I can see just after I got NOA1, though it shows always my status "Initial review"ClockWatch2.gif
