Bigamy is an inadmissibility.  You can probably try get around it given the circumstances. I’d hire a competent immigration lawyer if I were you.

But, I am petitioning my father. It’s not like we are doing K-1 visa. You think still matters? I already asked an immigration lawyer and he said this things don’t matter for father daughter petitions. Only when he petition my stepmom. But I just want to know if someone has same situation with me.

So he is going to move to the US and leave her behind with your minor siblings?

Hello, I am not sure why you keep asking that. But, just want to let you know, I can’t petition my step mom. So I have to start with my biological father, only he can petition my siblings. You seem to be very worried who will be left behind. I really appreciate your concern.

  3. Hello All,

I really appreciate your replies. I know my situation is really complicated. Unfortunately my my mom abandoned us (me, my brother and dad) when we were like 4-5 years old, so my dad doesn’t know where she was, I can’t blame my dad trying to move on and find another one. That’s why my dad file an annulment and got court order declaring presumed dead on 2000 for my mom. And on 2005 the judge/lawyer told him its ok to get married since annulment is just to be finalized, but not knowing my dad and step mom got married 2005 the annulment was finalized 2006. So there was an overlap.

But yes my mom (first marriage) and dad got finalized and annulled 2006.

So I am not sure if this is going to be a problem if I petition my father? Since I only have to prove father daughter relationship right?

    I’m so worried. Thank you.

So your biological mom and biological dad's annulment wasn't finalized yet when your bio dad got married to his second wife?

If yes, that's unfortunate. Is the annulment of the first marriage finalized now?

Yes, you are correct to both. It’s done 2006 the first marriage.

  4. Hello All,

I filed N-400 but I’m worried about the information I put on travel days.

As you can see both dates will be total of 18 days but I only put 17 days because I didn’t arrive to Japan until 04/12/2019 thats why I only put 17 days.

BTW 04/11/2019 is my Flight Date

Is this wrong or correct? Will this be a problem?

Thank you in advance for the help.

I was approved back in February-march.i received my US Passport too month ago.i think its more likely that you might not receive RFE and then you will get chance to rectify any mistake you have made while filling out N-400

Congratulations! When would be my chance to rectify any mistake? I couldn’t go back and check it. I just hope I didn’t put it wrong.

'but my worry is that I did not get this question while doing my application n-400 online the only question that I got was" have your spouse been previously been married" and I answered no but in my application snapshot there is different question"how many times your current spouse been married?in the box answer is 0 it should be 1"I did not get this particular question while filing for n400 online

Any update? Have you get RFE or something? I have the same thing, I answered 2 but now I noticed the snapshot shows 1. I’m so worried to get deny.

  7. Hello, I just submitted my N-400 Application through online. I double check before submitting but my mistake I saved the pdf snapshot but didn’t review it because everything that was on the screen all correct but now I’m so worried because I just noticed that the pdf snapshot has a wrong answer, for the question how many times your spouse has been married, I’m sure entered 2 but somehow it shows 1 on PDF but shows the priors spouse’s I for though and also the state on my husbands current address is missing. Am I going to get denial or rejection? I’m worried...

  8. Thank you very much. I got you now. I’m not sure if you would also be able to help me. I’ve been here since April 2014 and I became a legal resident on June 2015, with that being said I’ve been GC Holder for 5 years and still married with the same spouse for the last 6years. Which option should I choose for basis of eligibility? No. 1 or 2?

And since I have 2 stepchild, I will include them on the list but do I need to upload their birth certificate as well?

And access is basically immediate if you have a cell phone and an account in your name. However if you don’t, or you use something like a mnvo (I use Ting) they can’t validate your identity using a phone number so they have to send you a physical  pin, and that took about 10 days when I did it. And the pin expires in a relatively short period.

I ordered the Tax Return Transcript via telephone because they couldn’t identify my identity online. How will I get it if I ordered by telephone and how am I going to receive it since they didn’t ask for my address? Sorry if I have too many questions. I’m worried because I’m doing it by myself. Thank you in advance.

  10. Hello, I am now applying for N-400 Online. But I had an issue with entering the birth date of my spouse’s prior spouse, though the date is correct it shows the message “This date cannot be after your spouse married his or her spouse” please see attachment. Maybe someone had the same issue? Would this be a problem? Because even it shows red warning, I was still able to proceed. Please advise?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

  11. Hello. I just really need help. I have lots of question. My dad has been petitioned before by her us citizen wife and he got approved on the dhs but when he went to the interview he got denied because when they did a background check again, they found out that my dad and moms marriage is still not over and they're still married.

So, first question, does it automatically cancelled the petitioned?

2nd - Can I still petition my father, even he is already married with somebody else?

3rd - Are we having problem during the petition?

Thank you. Please any answer will do.
