  1. Visa approved!!! Thanks for all the help....

My spouse went in and were done within 5 mins. They asked a few questions...marriage date; who attended and blah not much

    I do have a question still :)

I am moving this weekend. My spouse will be arriving 2nd week of June

Where would I change the address (the address I gave on the form)?

    With NVC or USCIS

After I pay the fees ...how long does it take to receive the green card?

  2. got my case complete email also .......now its time to get an interview date!!!!

    Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment
until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of
the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at
    the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

    Sincerely,

    Director

  3. It's a case by case bases. I would tell everyone to be prepared have 2013 and updated I-864 in case. Especially if you are very close to guidelines. better to have and not need you know.

Everyone should have a copy of everything they sent to NVC. Because it has been told here many times they went to interview and nothing was there from NVC so delay of person having to get all new documents. The photocopies you gave is so they will give back originals (be sure to ask for those at interview).

To file head of household you have to have dependents. Spouses do not count as dependents. So I hope they did it right.

I do have dependents my parents.

  4. What you claim on W2 is of no matter. I file single and 4. It's your filing status at tax time is what has to be true.

Yes you made plenty for your household of 4. Head of household or married is fine you have dependents head of household is okay.

Remember people your spouse is not your dependent so if its just the two of you YOU CAN NOT file Head of Household. He has dependents his parents so he qualifies.

Here's the new 2014 guidelines for those who want to know.

Casper they hate at NVC and USCIS we know more tan they do. Most times we tell them their job. They wish we all were ignorant and just waited by the mailbox for their letters. No way we do that.

Trust me today or tomorrow good news is coming for many. :clock::luv:

so my accountant filed again as head of household and no mention of my spouse. Do you think that would work? or should I get that changed

  5. This tax returns stuff is getting confusing. I thought I run it by this forum and get some input

on the AOS I mailed all past 3 years (2010,2011,2012) tax transcripts ....my income avgs 80k/yr but I also have both my parents as dependent. I dont see an issue there....I was not working first 1/2 of last year...Travelling and other things....I filled taxes for 2013 recently ...gross income for last year came out around 50K...still have both my parents as dependent...first question is that still above poverty line?

my income from recent job is over 90 K...I have paystubs and W2 to prove that though

Since I just filed for 2013 returns, how soon can i get a tax transcript for 2013?

Also W2 for my recent job also shows single.....should i send the recent paystubs right before my spouse interview plus job letter and copy of tax returns, will that be sufficient?

I filed 2013 tax returns as married, but got married in nov 2012. My 2012 tax is not filed as married, it is filed as Head of house hold(cause parents showed as dependent). Can that be an issue?

any advise will be greatly appreciated

ok I called and as I was expecting it was false checklist. They asked to disregard it.

I asked how about the AOS package and she said that is fine. Means its accepted and reviewed

    Should I trust that?

  8. I have a question/concern. We fill out our DS-260, and kept "petitioner's" current address and address all along the process as the mail in address for the applicant.

Now if I move right around the time or a little before the interview of the applicant.

1- Who do I inform? NVC and USCIS both?

2- Does the applicant take the new address information with her to the interview?

    any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated
