  1. for future references: We have contacted NVC and they told me for them its not a problem that my passport is in my maiden name and nbi clearance is in my married name according to them they do understand that I am married and they consider bother name (married and single)

But when I contacted Manila Embassy thru e-mail they told me that all names used including those that are on the birth certificate, marriage contract, maiden should be included in the NBI clearance. I sent my previous Nbi clearance without the AKA to NVC and I was able to obtain another one with my AKA (maiden name) on it that I will be bringing on the interview just incase they ask. My civil documents are currently under review ar Nvc I'm hoping that the info I got was correct and they will accept the nbi I sent.

  2. wow I'm kinda confused now :/ I can't renew my passport as of now cause I have other papers on process and I use my single name and that process won't be done anytime soon (its for an exam and the only valid ID they accept is the passport) I think I might try and get NBI with AKA.Thank you for all the anwers.

Thank you I might try this option.

NBI should have both names listed, your married name and an AKA for your maiden name. You should have an AKA for all names used.

  3. It can take upto 1.5 month whatever consulate you want you will have to ask the beneficiary to email NVCinquiry abt the whole situation and with that email send an attachment proving that he/she is legally eligible to proceed with the process in the new CONSULATE COUNTRY

Thank you :) but we can go on with the process while waiting?like paying the bills, sending AOS and all that?Cause that's what the agent told us but I want to be sure. Our lawyer emailed NVC today for a request to change consulate :(
