  1. ok great, but i am a little bit confused here, can you please explain more

so do i have to wait for another 3 years after she gets her citizenship? or will the total period be considered, so we have been married for 3 years now, and she will be applying for her citizenship next month, so when she gets it, do i have to wait for another 3 years or will they count the total years of marriage before and after getting her citizenship

many thanks and sorry for asking too many questions

  2. Hi Everyone :)

I really appreciate your support and thank you for taking the time to answer my question

i am a green card holder (10 years green card) got it through marrying a green card holder, so my wife is a green card holder too, she had her green card for the past 8 year and she will be applying for citizenship soon. i was under the category of F2A when i got here, so my question is when can i apply for citizenship? do i have to wait for 5 years before applying or just 3 years?

    thanks,

  3. i had my interview on August 17/15 and they asked me for 2013 tax, so i sent it on the same day along with my passport.

the embassy received my passport and 2013 tax on the 18th.

when i checked my application status, it was under administrative processing for 2 days, and last thursday, it became "ISSUED"

till day it is still issued but the Status updated date was yesterday's date which is 24 August.

i am not sure when will i get my passport back.

    Any ideas?

  4. Thank you for your answers, i am just going to USA for one week maximum.

I need an experienced opinion who is experienced in this, i do appreciate general opinion tho.

My mom and dad are staying with her and taking good care of her, and i also booked and paid for her mom to come and stay with her.

i have asked a lawyer and the below was his reply:

    Answered

. You will need to present yourself at a U. S. port of entry within 180 days from the date of the issuance of your immigrant visa. Your spouse does not have to be present at the port of entry. You should be prepared to explain the circumstances and the reasons for your wife remaining abroad

i am not fully convinced with the lawyer reply.

this is why i need your experienced opinion.

    Thank you.
