    Quick question about the NVC. After the TSC has sent our file to the NVC, do we have to call and get the service #? Or can we just wait for NVC to mail us something? I guess I am just not wanting to have to call them a million times if I do not have to and would just rather wait for them to get it and mail us.

    We called NVC, but they told us to wait for 6 weeks to get the case number....exactly two weeks after the NOA2 he was visiting me and stayed for 10 days, when he returned home he got a letter from NVC with the case number and then he called again and we got an information when did they ship it to the embassy. (Our petition was already at the embassy by then.)

    Hi everyone,

    I haven't been around for a while.....my fiance was visiting and last two weeks have been pretty hectic, after receiving NOA2 everything was moving so fast, I am surprised. :)

    We finally had our medical done and sent out all documents they required in packet 3 back to the embassy, now waiting for the interview date.

    Crossing fingers for everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2.

    Us too.. and I beg TSC to please go to older applications first.. The uncertainty of this is putting a lot of strain on my relationship, we're all feeling very helpless and somewhat hopeless. I think I will cry when I finally get our approval, if my relationship doesn't fall apart first..

    Don't say that it!! It wont fall apart, we all know why we are going through this and it will be worth of it in the end.

    There are ups and downs every week for us, and you guys are the only one who knows what we are going through.

    K-1, any idea of what dates are currently being processed at the TSC?

    Hi all -

    So a quick update:

    Per the suggestion of a fellow VJ-er, I called customer service and requested to speak to a Tier 2 representative regarding our case since we're 5mo+ from the NOA1 (i.e. past the estimated processing time). She transferred my call with no objection and I was put on hold for an estimated 62 minutes (ouf!). Then something miraculous happened. I decided to take my chances with the call-back option (you give your name and phone number and then call you when you get to the head of the line). Lo and behold about 45 minutes later, someone actually called back!!!! I was shocked, but pleasantly so : ) Use this option if it's given, for sure...

    Anyway, result of the conversation being that apparently everything looks on track for our file (no sneaky RFEs lurking, it seems, yay!) and that they are currently working on EXACTLY our date ( i.e mid-September 2013) at the TSC.

    I know some of you will remain skeptical because of Igor's list and all the petitioners with later dates who have already been approved, but hey, I'll take whatever leads I can get at this point. Officer seemed confident that we should be receiving our answer quite soon, so for those of you in a similar situation...fingers crossed for some good news in the coming days!

    Any news on your NOA2? Hope you already got it!

    K&Z, when I saw you posted in this thread, I got my hopes up for a split second that you had gotten an approval. sad.png

    Aww thanks, but nothing yet for us :(

    But i was thinking of starting to work on the approval letter from my ex next week, even if we still didn't got NOA2, not sure if documents like that have some 'expiration date' or something (in case if he decides to make more problems with it).

    Checking every day, several times a day....which is not really helpful, getting annoyed when I see nothing has changed.

    There are ups and downs through the week and tons of questions and what if's in the head (what if they lost the petition, what if they forgot it somewhere,...).....but every week there is a new hope that it will be approved this week, sometimes it feels like running in the circles.
