  1. Did your husband file a 2013 income tax extension? That's what they are saying. If he did he has had to have his taxes done by the time of your interview or you will not be approved but be put in AP until he provides.

Also can you fill out the form so you can be added to the spreadsheet.

I know he did that before new year, he also sent I-864 with 1040 forms to NVC for the past three years and W2 as well!

That means he doesn't need to send me those forms, right?

  2. Hi VJ members, just received the Interview letter :) and still can't figure it out what those codes are for? I thought this letter will help me to know what actually need to bring at the interview but I got totally lost :(

    in one paragraph it says:

    - "Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of

Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal
income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview."
I don't get this, do I need to bring my husband's most recent 1040 or what? We don't have joint sponsor and we filled out I- 864 form and sent to NVC! What my husband need to send me, if he needs?
I can't figure it out what those codes mean? I don't know if I need to bring my civil documents, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate....
  3. Help please!

    .

My hubby is moving from his parents house this week and he is planing to put all utilities on his name, do we have to inform NVC about that, we already sent both packages, paid AOS fee and waiting on DS- 260 and IV fee to become available. We still want to receive all mails from MVC to my husband's parents.

Wanted to ask if someone has been in this situation too so I can discuss before I spend hours calling NVC!

  4. This is what I got from the website for the IV Package address:

Mail your forms and documents with your Document Cover Sheet to the following address:

    National Visa Center

    Attn: DR

    31 Rochester Ave. Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Also, I called up NVC and spoke with this lady who mentioned that I could use the AOS cover sheet and send in my IV documents but just to make sure I use the address above. Which is what I have done.

    Awesome great to know :)

So, the same address for both envelopes using the same Document Cover Sheet and written Attn: DR on the envelope for the IV package only.

I'm very sorry if I'm paying too much on details, just wanna make sure I'm doing right

Thank you so much for your help, it means a lot to me

  5. Hi everyone, I paid the AOS fee on August 4th and I`m trying to complete both packages and send them together!

I've heard that on one of the packages I have to write DR on the envelope. What does mean? Which package should I write on? Is it better choice if I sent them together in separate envelopes and put copy of the bar coded cover sheet on each? What do you recommend?
    Thank you for the help!
    Good luck for everyone! :)

  6. Background checks pending. they'll approve your request as soon as they get them... it shouldn't take very long now :) Glad you heard something concrete... I got a completely stupid note from USCIS that they didn't know anything about our case... you should be approved soon. Just wait a little bit more :)

I hope so because these week we are making seven months since our PD, this is getting ridiculous !!

  7. Hey guys!

Ten days after our SR my hubby received email from the uscis office!
    It says:

On May 20, 2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-130 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Do you know what this means?
    Thank you!

  8. Hi

I have a question about the Affadavit of Support. I am sponsoring my husband. I have lived and worked in Spain for the past 15 years so I have no income from the US. However, I have a signed contract starting in September for $80,000. Is that enough proof that I can support my husband or do I need a joint sponsor? We can also get a pre-contract that states when he can legally work he will be making $60,000. Should I include this pre-contract and will the two contracts be enough even though neither of us have past income? Or should I just play it safe and add a joint sponsor.

    Thanks for your help.

Talking about this I was wondering how much the yearly salary minimum wadge petitioner`s should be?

  9. Yes, every day about 5 times. I think being worked on is the entire initial review stage.

People, don't wait the 6 months, you can put in a SR 18 days after the 5 months x

You should definitely do that If your case is not in Texas Service Center!

My husband called the USCIS office yesterday and the answer for all questions was that I am still within the processing time,

  10. Hi guys!
I`m trying to collect all documents I need to NVC, wanted to ask you guys are you planing to send AOS package and the IV package together or separately? is there any difference? How do you recommend? And also are you going to send all Affidavit of bona fide marriage to AOS package right? With copies from all you have sent to USCIS for your I 130 plus the rest you prepare by the time waiting for your NOA2?

    Thank you very much!
