  1. Nobody heard from them????? I'm scared to think they had a "summer break"!!!!!! :(

They are working hard , just not on i-130 petitions. In September 2014 the initial grants of DACA are due to expire , and they are told to start submitting their forms for renewal 120 days before it expires which corresponds with June 2014. Is it a coincidence that approvals for December filers have just trailed off this month, i think not. DACA filers were given priority then and it seems like once again they are being given priority over US citizens.

  2. service request answered today ,saying; your case is currently under review by an officer. we regret that we are un able to provide you with a completion date at this time ,I wonder what this means .service request was on 18 june

Many people have been getting the same nonsense answer to their service request including myself. I don't know what they are doing but it seems they are not really working on December filers right now, as approvals seem to have come to a trickle. There are still way too many of us that have not received our NOA2. It is really frustrating to see people at other service centers from January, February and even march getting approvals and here we are going into our 7th month. Unfortunately it is all about bringing the average down.

I think it may be of some benefit to contact the ombudsman: http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

    or try the congressman route.

Not to worry though, we will all eventually get our NOA2. What infuriates me even more is that not only are we delayed in receiving approvals, it seems we will also crawl through the nvc stage at it appears that things are moving much slower with nvc as of late.

  3. CBO, fyzah are you still waiting ? looks like Nebraska moved on and is approving later pd's :(

We are still waiting. My husband did give them a call a day or two ago, and asked to be transferred to tier 2 as we just didn't want to waste time. The lady was somewhat helpful and agreed to file a service request for us. She said that they may be approving people that filed later than us because they had a lower volume of intake for cases that day. It is all about playing around with the numbers. Overall the only thing we got from her was

    1: December 3rd had a lot of i-130's

2:Our case was not with an officer

3:Service requests can be pretty useless, but we filed one anyway.

Congratulations to everyone that was recently approved :)

  4. it's a torture! you are so right :) and Your PD is the same as mine so we can get the noa2 together maybe even today? would be amazing !

from this 200 numbers that my friend is checking for me with script only 34 have no approval yet including me! :(

ow and my hubby called uscis last Friday and they told him that we are not assigned to officer yet (in other words: we are still collecting dust) and SR can't be put because of the official date they are working on - Dec 3rd . BS.

I hope this week will bring all of us Joy :) we've waited for too long..

aaw nanana I hope you will have good news to share this week. My PD is Dec 3rd but I have looked at several numbers before mine out of about 20, only 3 were approved, one was an expedite from January, and two were approved 2 days ago. I tried to file an e service request and was not able to. I got this:

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time"

    seriously USCIS sucks!

we got a letter in the mail about a change of address a few days ago but nothing thereafter. Waiting .....

  5. My case was approved on Jun 4th. We didn't send any proof of a bona fide marriage.

    Wow you are very lucky!

After receiving our RFE, I've been looking through some forums. Our lawyer didn't want us to submit any proof of a bona fide marriage with our 130. However, from what I've been reading, it seems that if you didn't submit anything extra, you're just doomed for an RFE. I'm kicking myself now for not sending stuff the first time. Did you guys all send proof?

We sent in birth certificates for our three kids.

  6. I know someone else has posted about receiving this response from uscis, any ideas if this is an approval ???? I am a Dec 4th filer

"On June 2, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

This means someone is working on your case so inshAllah you will receive an approval or rfe soon.

  7. Our PD is Dec 3rd and we are at NSC, but for some reason I just don't expect to hear from them anytime soon. We tried to call about two weeks ago and they said that they were working on Nov 5th and could not file a service request for us at that time. I think they update it once a month, so theoretically speaking most of us would not be able to file a service request until a month from now (give or take a few days). I want to get my husband to call them but he has a major exam tomorrow. He failed a course and is retaking the exam. Hopefully he will pass and graduate :) so we can move on with our lives. We have a lot going on right now and USCIS has been put on the back burner for some time. nanana I have a feeling you may hear from them in a matter of days. We may call them tomorrow and see what they say.

  8. I definitely would be! I am in Saudi Arabia currently, but will be moving back to London with our kids soon to finish the process there. I am still waiting for my I-130 approval. We have been married for 7 years so I take it we would be going for the IR1. Does the process differ a whole lot between the CR1 and IR1?

    Thank you.

  9. My husband called uscis yesterday and he spoke to tier1 and he told him that NSC is working on Nov 5th and if we don't here anything before 5th of June ( it would be our 6 months from PD ) we should call again and put SR or whatever.

I just Hope that at least the earliest Dec PD's will hear something before June comes, but the best would be if they would start to approve all of us ASAP :star:

    :clock:

So much for the given processing time of 5 months at Nebraska. I have a feeling that processing times are about to go up again. I would love to know why approvals suddenly seemed to come to almost a complete halt once all October transfers were approved. I think November was the first month that the I-130's were sent directly there, and for some reason it does not seem like they are really devoting much of their resources to actively working on them. Why?

I am becoming more and more pessimistic.

  10. 5 months and 4 days since NOA1. Things seemed to have slowed down so much. October approvals came in thick and fast, yet there seems to be few approvals for November. At this rate I feel like most of us at best can hope for an approval by June.

We have been married for almost 8 years with three kids together, relocating is so much harder to plan with kids (that are school aged) when you have all this uncertainty hanging over you!!!!!

Anyone planning to file a service request at some point?

  11. I have the same issue. You will need to get an affidavit of birth from a close relative ideally her mother or father stating , name, date, place of birth and both of her parents names, then you will need to have it notarized. I have been a little lazy about getting my parents to do this, but it is pretty straightforward, I have even seen templates online.

    I hope this helps.

  12. We had our civil marriage in Egypt while we were both tourists, and it was quite a lengthy process! The first step was to get a document from the American embassy for my husband and from the British Embassy for myself permitting us to get married. After so many complicated steps we got it translated and certified by the US embassy. Definitely would not recommend getting married there. Niether of us are arabs and the language was a problem. Without a doubt it would have been easier if we had done it in one of our home countries. I don't think what you described sounds like a formal marriage contract.

  13. Me and my husband have been living overseas for the past 7 years with our 3 children. We have never been separated during those years except for a 3 month period where he had to file a similar petition for residency in a third country. We only started this I-130 process for me in November, so I know we have a long way to go. My husband will have to move back to the US soon due to his residency here expiring upon graduation and so will mine, which means I will have to go back home and wait out this immigrant visa thing. Although it has not happened yet I have severe bouts of anxiety and at times depression at the thought of being away from my husband for an unknown period of time, and raising our three young kids on my own. I do not have much of a support structure in my home country and am dreading the thought of going. I don't know how I will cope when it actually happens! I pray things speed up soon for all of you.

  14. I hate to tell you, but that's probably not going to happen. I hope that I'm wrong and that they process you quickly because you are overseas. But you're in Saudi Arabia, and that means that you're probably going to have to go through AP even after you're done dealing with the USCIS. That can take a ridiculous amount of time.

You and the kids will have no problem. But your spouses will probably have to wait there for the visa process to be completed.

Thank you Kaylara for the advice. I am actually from England and my husband is the USC, I don't know if that will make any difference but i hope it does. We have to leave Saudi Arabia between May-July, whether the visa comes through or not. I am a little concerned if at that time we are still in the midst of the process and I go back home to England, how difficult will it be to switch the consulate at which the interview will take place?

  15. Hi Fyzah,

So what should we do ?? what about you and your husband when have you submitted ? any experiences will help

wish you the best lack ,

You do not need the hard copy from my understanding, many people overseas never really receive theirs. You can use the receipt number to check on your case status at the USCIS website. We submitted our forms around the beginning of this month i believe and got our NOA1 via email about 2-3 days later and were routed to the Nebraska service center. InshAllah you will be approved quickly.
