  1. Hi all! Meant to write sooner but this is the first I could get on. Woke up Monday morning to an email from NVC saying that they had received all documents necessary for processing DH's visa and to wait for further information about embassy. Quickly checked CEAC to see if changed to N/A but it hadn't, still said "paid". So then I called and after 20 attempts to get through then 30 minutes on hold, NVC confirmed case complete on 11/21! It took them a week and a half to inform me.

Then woke up today to a checklist. Oh my goodness my heart dropped and I started freaking out. THANK GOD in the checklist it repeated multiple times we dont have to send anything to NVC but dh will have to bring the checklist to the interview. It has to do with something stupid on the I864a.

Anyways, good news! We have a CC!!!

Last scan date (on aos checklist) 10/10

Much luck and hope to all of you! God bless your journey and make it quick!

  3. Hello, I am still at the NVC stage, hoping to have CC the first week of December. However my daughter and I are moving to the States next week and leaving my husband here in Chile until he receives his visa.

My question is this: Should I leave my daughter's original documents (Consular Birth Abroad Certificate, SSN Card, etc) with DH in Chile to take to the interview? Or should I bring them with me to the States in case I need them there (don't know why I would need them) and just leave copies for the embassy interview?

Thank you for any advice you can give!

  4. I paid the AOS fee and did the choice of agent on July 15th and the IV fee did not come up as being available to pay until Sept. 17th! :ranting:

I sent in my AOS packet as soon as I paid and got the confirmation barcode page to send with it. I waited to send the IV package until I paid the fee but others say that you can send the AOS and IV packet together with the one barcoded page. I cannot confirm if that is true or not though.

  5. First time posting for November. We're in our fifth month at the NVC. We just reached our one year anniversary of beginning the visa process. Up til now my family has been together but in two weeks my 1.5year old daughter and I will be moving back to the States and my husband will have to stay behind until he gets his visa. We had originally hoped he would be able to join us by Christmas but then we got a checklist for the AOS. Now we're hoping he'll arrive by mid-January.

  6. Guys....

Just called to confirm...my case was completed yesterday :) I am so happy to share the news...

    AOS Scan Date 9/3

    IV Scan Date 9/9

Now awaiting the interview to be scheduled...

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time checking in on this thread this month. We are in our fifth month at the NVC. Got a checklist so last scan date was 10/10. Here's hoping the holidays don't slow them too much at the NVC.

  7. Hi guys!

First time poster although our case arrived at the NVC at the end of June. Just got email notification NVC received our IV package today and they should receive our RFE for AOS package today or tomorrow. I was really bummed about receiving the RFE but now figure that since we had to wait so long to pay the IV fee and send in that package that they'll both take about the same time to process now...

Here's to hoping CC before Christmas! We were originally hoping DH would be in the States by then -_-
