How old is your son. My two children immigrated with me and we were not asked for anything like that.
This is very interesting to me. I wonder if this has changed since two years ago.
I did present my divorce documents showing that I had sole custody as well. Did you already provide those?
I did get letter from my ex husband stating that he knew we were moving.
I did not show the custody paper when I first submitted the application, it could be a reason for this requirement.

I apply for CR-1 visa and my son applies for CR-2 visa. The Consular Section requests my son to bring "Original Parental consent from the other parent or custody documents allowing you to immigrate to the U.S.A" in his interview.
My question is:
The agreement (filed in provincial court) states I have sole custody and sole guardianship of the Child. Does this agreement sufficient meet the requirement from the Consular?
Thank you

Nice! Can you give me more info on that. Our petition is now in the ready phase, but it won't go through for some reason, so we emailed them to fix THAT. When I read your first post, I was also worried that it would give us a different date than what it said on our interview letter and we'd have to contact them yet again ... Who exactly did you email to resolve the date discrepancy? How long did it take for them to get back to you?
I emailed to
- canada_contactus+ca+info+en@visaops.net It took 2 business days to fix it and issued me a new instruction.

No, it did not ask me the interview date at all when I signed up on loomis.
March 6: created account but unable to sign up on loomis; March 11: sign up on loomis, the interview date was March 2 on the confirmation page.

That seems odd to me that it has the wrong date on it. Was that the date you signed up for on loomis?
No, it did not ask me the interview date at all when I signed up on loomis.

yes, there is a help phone line available. I called the help line and the agent told me it's ok as long as I bring the interview letter.

Finally I was able to register with Loomis on that website, however, I notice that the Consular interview date was March 1 on the Loomis instructions/confirmation page, which was the date I got NVC interview instruction, but my interview date is in April as per NVC P4 letter.
Because date discrepancy, I worry if I have any trouble to enter into the Consular for my interview in April.
Any idea?

The same problem here. I got an interview letter two days ago and still unable to register with Loomis service. I was told by the agent that my case is not ready for the interview.
I was able to create an account at that website, but cannot continue once I log in, because there are options (K1, to schedule interview) are not apply to me at all.
Wondering if I should expect a letter from the Consular for additional instruction including loomis service?

My I-130 application was transferred to Nebraska Service Center on Nov.8 and still pending for approval, while my child's application was transferred to Texas Service Center on the same date and was approved on Nov. 29.
Still don't understand why these 2 applications in one package sent to National Benefit Center in March were transferred to different service centers. I wonder if these two files will be processed together once they are forwarded to Montreal Consulate? or they will be processed individually and then my child (age 12) and I have to have two separate interviews in the future?
Is there anyone who has the similar situation?

I suggest you delivery boxes cross border by yourself since Vancouver is not far from the boarder, then mail to California through U.S.postal service.
