I am definitely keeping myself busy, like looking at apartments and places to live when my fiance arrives. Looking at home furniture ... just getting ready for our future. lol Call me crazy.

I also received my citizenship through my parents. I do not have a naturalization certificate only my US passport. I left the A# blank. For proof of citizenship, I photocopied all the pages of my passport as in the directions. Hopefully, that is all USCIS needs! G'luck!

My fiancee and I use whatsapp and viber. Whatsapp for texting and viber for phone calls. I have an android and he has an iPhone. Both apps have served us well and they seem to work best using WiFi You get good service w 3G too. I just can't wait to be together everyday and no more apps and Skype for communication! That will be paradise <3

How do you guys know your alien number has changed? Whenever I check my case on the USCIS website - it just says "Initial review." Did you receive an email or was the status just updated!? Thanks!

Others probably know more but my experience is that you A number is personal to the individual who is the alien. So I have had the same A number since I entered on one visa, then adjusted my status on that visa to allow employment and still now that that visa is over and my husband is petitioning for me. They have never changed mine, don't know why they would but it seems to happen. Anyway - my experience is that it is unique and personal to the individual person a bit like a SS number. Its pretty handy too because once you know it you can reference yourself in correspondence and phone calls quickly and easily.

Hi U: I saw your quote this morning but unfortunately, since I was seeing it on my phone, I was unable to reply. As soon as you told me about the check, I went and check to see if mine was cashed too and guess what, IT WAS!!! And around 4, got my NOA1 by email and then by text. It says that my case as been routed to the Texas center. Praying for a speedy response.

Hey everyone....filed 16 Nov and received the text on the 19th, followed by the hard copy a week later.

I saw quite a few posts about alien registration numbers changing. Are these for K-1 visas? If so how does someone have an alien registration number who just applied for a K1? I'm missing something-can anyone explain??

U: Trust me you are so not the only one obsessed about this whole thing. I check my email everyday hoping to get something from USCIS although I know that they were closed. Wishful thinking I guess.... I just want my baby here so bad and he wants the same too. I suppose that all this obsession now is because I want the case to be accepted and I could breath a little. Let's wait, shall we?

Hello H&U, I sent my fiancé's application a day after you, November 23 to be exact, and I am praying to hear from USCIS next week with the first notification. I did not expect to hear from them last week since they only received the application on Tuesday and federal offices were closed on Thursday and Friday. I am hoping that they cash the check on Monday or Tuesday. Please keep me posted as to you receive yours so I can expect mine. I would love for my fiancé to be here before July.

My documents were also delivered on Tuesday. I too am hoping my check will be cashed this week and I receive the email/text notification for the NOA1!

I hope both our fiancés are here before the summer! I'm a little obsessed so I'll keep everything updated! You keep us posted too! Good luck

Wow I'm impressed and shocked that some of you November filers received your NOA2 in less than a month!!! How awesome! My fingers are crossed! I hope to get lucky as well I filed Nov 22 and hope to have my fiance with me by March and latest by summer! I'm praying my application is complete and don't get any RFE's.
