My fiance will enter the States in a few hours
I can't believe it's finally happening! It's been just about 9 months since we filed
Congratulations!! After all that stress you've gone through with the issuing of the visa, you deserve it! Good luck with the marriage ceremony!
Can you apply for the SSN right after US entry? For some reason I thought you had to wait a bit?
-
Congrats Zhivago!
-
I'm sorry to hear that. Is it possible for your fiance to deliver the missing document directly to the embassy? How did they let you schedule an interview without having all the docs? USCIS needs to get organized!Well no change in the status.. It's 100% certain now that my fiance will miss my birthday and the fourth of July

See attached (edited for decency)
Impressive... Lol

I agree, its probably good that they are looking at your emails. It must be so frustrating being so close, and just needing this one document. I hope you hear something withing the next few days!
-
Congrats!
Thank youuu!!!
. Congrats ???Can you please fill in your timeline?
Thanks!! Will do

Don't worry for that.
On May 30 2014 I did an e-request and uscis response me 14 days later saying my case is processing by an officer.
4 days after they sent me an e-mail with my approval. I'm so happy.
I have been waiting 7 months, well, 217 days for my Noa2.
See my Timeline.
I hope your NOA2 the next week. Keep the faith!!
I'm so excited! We got an approval! NOA2 via email. I hope its not a mistake like the address change we didn't request!
-
After a scary address change email from USCIS that I didn't request, phone calls with agents, we got our NOA2 approved 7 months after mailing the application! We are beyond happy!!!!
Good luck to the few others waiting!!!

I'm really going to cry.. No word for a week then they email me to say that they are missing Part 3 of the I-129F (which was the RFE). I have sent this same damn ppaper now by email about 3 times (which they acknowledged they had it) and they should have also received it by regular mail on Monday.
I'm at my wit's end with these incompetent idiots.. My grandmother is dying and I really wanted my fiance here for my birthday. I told someone he would come with me to their party. None of that is going to happen because these idiots have no idea what they are doing.
I feel for you. I haven't heard anything positive since I applied. I want to cry too. Seven months tomorrow since I applied for the k1 visa. I'm devastated that my fiance isn't here yet and probably won't be for a while. I'm hating USCIS more and more. They are so unorganized. If there is something wrong with my application, my background check, w/e tell me, if there isn't approve me. Arghhh! :'( :'(

I guess I don't know what to do. Can anyone advise me on what to do, please?
I applied for I-129F Nov 21, 2013. NOA1 Dec 2, 2013. Alien Reg# changed April 8, 2014. After 6 and a half months since applying I file a service request since my application is outside of the normal processing time. Today I get an email from USCIS excited hoping its the NOA2, nope. Instead its a notification stating my address has been changed! What!? I did not request an address change, my fiance did not request an address change. I frantically call USCIS, the woman has no real answer for me. She doesn't know who or how the address request was submitted. She doesn't know what the address was changed to.
She told me to mail TCS asking them to verify my address is correct. Is the the best I can do??
I'm so nervous my application will expire and they will just tell me to file again. Am I jinxed or what?
If anyone has any suggestions please share. Thank you.

We received our NOA1 on Dec2. Still no NOA2. It has been over 6.5months since we sent our application. Put in a service request... Could take an additional 2 months to get back to me with the status of my case. Hang in there.

I'm a November filer.
Its has been more than 6 months and stil waiting.
K1, TSC.
Chaeradaria I'm in the same boat as you. I filed a service request heard nothing. I don't think anything speeds up the process. We'll just have to wait it out. I just hope everything goes smoothly after the NOA2.
-
I called as well, gave me the same date of Oct 22nd. The agent also said she can not put in a service request because the application is still within their normal processing time frame.... I was also told I should hear something within 60 days... Ugh.
-
Congrats to the NOA2s and visa approvals!!
-
I think you see the silver lining to this, at least they have it and someone is opening it and looking at it. They know they have a 5 month time frame to meet so I am sure they are trying to get you finished up and approved.
Grats to the recent NOA2 approvals. I contacted my senator today, they received my request and im guessing will look into my case sometime in the next 2 weeks.
Hope it doesn't get to that and we all receive our approvals before the end of April like we should!
Lets hang in there folks))
Thank you, the bright side is that eventually we will be reunited, with our loved ones again. I hope the look into your case and speed this up!

That is ridiculous!! But hopefully this desk jockey saw your petition and thought "woops, I forgot to assign this one a case number and it's been 4 months already!" and is working extra hard to get it out the door..
Thank you, I hope that is the case as well! Waiting another 4-5 months would really be awful. At that point we should have gotten married and just filed an I-130 marriage visa. You got your NOA2 on Tuesday, congrats! Hopefully it moves along now!

After four and a half months after the NOA1... i recieve this email, an email most petitioners recieve within 2 weeks of their NOA1. I think our application has been sitting on someone's desk for 4+ months. What luck, but at least we know they still have our application.
Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Your Case Status: Initial Review
On April 8, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.
During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

Hi everyone. I applied for the K1 visa end of November. It will be almost 160 days since I have received the NOA1. Whenever I call the agent she just reads off the USCIS website and informs me that they will look more into my case if I don't receive NoA2 by April 26th. I guess my question is, could my application have been lost? We've been waiting so long, patiently, that it would be a huge disappointment if they lost or misplaced our application.
-
One more disappointing week with no news from TSC. November 5 NOA1. So disappointing to see January filers get their visas already while our file is still gathering dust on some desk jockey's in box.
I feel your pain and frustration

C'mon Texas! Send some more NOA2 approvals our way! To make things interesting, my fiance and are taking bets now on when we'll get our NOA2 lol
-
We just had our visa approved today! My fiance and I had known each other for only 3 months before we filed and I seriously thought that would be an issue but the interview in Bucharest Romania appeared to be a formality. We noticed that the passport of my fiance was put into the envelope before the interview started which seemed to imply that we had already been "tentatively" approved before we had the interview. Im feeling very blessed today and I am sending good vibes to everyone that is still waiting for the good news. Stay positive, confident, and strong, and your time to celebrate will come!
Congrats! How exciting! I'm taking all the good vibes I can get lol

I wouldn't think so. This process has nothing to do with your government but with the US government. Hope you stay safe in all of it, too.
I hope you're right, thanks!
Received visa today! So happy, grateful and lucky to complete this so much quicker then we anticipated. Words cannot express. I am still pulling for everyone here for quick approvals. Just a plane flight away now.
Awesome, how exciting! Congrats!

Do you guys think that the anti-government protests that just started in Bosnia will affect our visa process?
