I don't think there is a need to tell them anything. Your visa will expire 6 months from your medical, meaning he will be done with school way before his visa expires.

Finally after 73 days my case has been complete. Scan date Dec 23, 2014, case complete today March 6, 2015. I have been a silent member, but have read every post and learned a lot. NO CHECKLIST!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all.

Maybe if they are a little more careful and stop losing everyones documents they would probably be able to go back to 30 days as per CEAC website for reviewing documents. The more checklists they send out it becomes more of an overload for them, because now they have new petitions coming from USCIS combined with all of the checklist documents receiving all at the same time.

Immigration has always been a problem way before Obama & Daca. Sure we would always like to put the blame on someone, but to put it on one person is not right. I brought my father to the United States more than 15 years ago way before Obama and way before Daca and I can assure you the wait has ALWAYS been a long process. All we can hope for is that we will be approve and be with our love ones.

Am a December filer and my case is also in additional review. There is nothing we can do about it but wait and hope for the best. good luck everyone

I basically got the same response from my service request. So I called and spoke to a tier 2 officer who advised that they usually say 6 months but it doesn't necessarily mean it will take that long. In our case he was able to give me more details advising us that the petition we first file for the k1 in 2012 was still open. After sending them a letter back then telling them we no longer wanted to proceed with the k1 petition because we were going to proceed with the i-130. We then got a response back that they have received my letter and once marrying my fiance at the time the k1 was no longer valid. Apparently that is not the case, because he said he still showed the k1 being active so they will need to look into this further and see why it wasn't close; however he was extremely nice actually taken over 40 minutes on the line with me looking into both cases for me. So am still keeping the faith. Come August 5 it will be 8 months and still no NO2. Keep faith everyone and am praying for us all.

That is what I wanted to make the poster aware of, because it was a learning experience for my husband and I. There are certain waivers that can be file for fiance visa; however then there are those that only qualifies if the parties involved are married (which we fell into that category and it seems the poster fell into the same category). I also got my senator involved who also called the embassy on our behalf and was advised that the waiver will become available once the petitioner and the beneficiary marries.
