  1. Question, the Sydney Consulate is asking for DS-160 in our email. However on one of their links it says you need to submit (Forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-230 (Parts I and II). But then online I have read that DS-156/k and DS-230 were consolidated into the online form DS-160 in 2013.

Can you someone confirm, please? I have asked the consulate just to be sure.

    THANKS!!!!!!

  2. Thanks so much! I see it says: Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to obtain any U.S. police certificates. We are checking even further to confirm. From what I hear the US is able to electronically check these days. I was worried I would have to go through the FBI which could take months.

not sure about your embassy/consulate but here is a cut and paste from our p4 letter. Hope it helps.

OBTAIN THE ORIGINAL POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
Each visa applicant aged 16 years or older must submit a police certificate from every
country where he/she resided for at least 6 months after the age of 16.
Some countries require a specific Police Certificate Request form to properly request and
obtain Police Certificate(s). The Reciprocity by Country page indicates those countries.
Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable.
Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to obtain any U.S. police
    certificates.

So probably your best bet is to get a hold of you embassy/consulate and ask them what you need in case they a particular for what they are looking for.
  3. They can be for darn near everything! We didn't get a RFE. Can you tell us what you included in your petition?

Hi! That's what I am reading. It could even be a box that was not checked correctly.

We included a full scan of passport of every single page; travel visa's i purchased to visit him; flight records for my 3 flights there; flight records for several flights inside the US together; photos from past 2 years including marathons and triathlons we completed together; engagement cards from family/friends; emails including our first correspondence when we met; whatapp messages and so on... the only thing i didn't include are electrical/cable bills with his name on them.
