  1. I researched it prior to signing and quite a few people got RFEs saying signatures were not original.. And they were, actually, but signed in black ink. So I decided to sign mine in blue. Easier to tell a signature is authentic, and not scanned, then.

I don't see anything about blue, black or any other ink n G-325A instructions, anyways smile.pnghttp://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/g-325a.pdf

I used a black sharpie pen for my G-325A . Received an RFE stating that my form was a copy . Which it wasn't , but I could see my error in using that pen . Advice I got at the time and which I use since . Use a soft magazine under the form and sign . This will leave an imprint on the back of the form . Then the person at USCIS can clearly see it is an original and not a copy .

Maybe the OP might want to do this when signing . This way you can use the proper black ink on the form .

  2. USCIS will state a letter was mailed on the notice date , but its not always true . With my last 2 RFE's both were actually mailed a few days later . When you do get it you will notice the actual mailing date on the letter . The 7th was a Friday so it was most likely mailed on the 9th which was the next business day . I think you will get it by the end of the week .

  3. I can't really remember if their is a specification for the NSO..i know NBI purpose is for travel abroad or for USA..But NSO, i can't remember

They don't have to be Red-ribboned...

Yea she is getting the NBI for abroad to USA . I was just curious about the birth certificate that we will send to NVC . From what I am reading it appears the security printed paper will be enough to satisfy NVC . My wife is in Davao and before she goes home just double checking on some things .

    Thanks for the reply

  4. UPDATE : Just to let you know if your following . She made it to Davao 11 hours ! NSO is done and got the ultrasound done too ! The little one did not want to be seen LOL , but they think its a girl . Just has to get the NBI done and go home . She was able to stay at a cousins house after all . Thanks again for the help :)

  5. hi

no, as the petitioner you are the primary sponsor, you will use the i864 as sponsor.

now who is your co sponsor? sibling, parent who lives in your house?

to be able to know what form does the co sponsor o joint sponsor need, we need more information

Co sponsor will be my mother . I live in the same household . I am not a dependent on her taxes .

  6. I am preparing the documents the I-864 for NVC . I will be using a co sponsor on the I-864 . I saw that there are different I-864 forms the I-864 , I-864EZ and I-864A . The form I selected for the co sponsor was the I-864 which I am included on it with a I-864A for income . Would the I-864 (co sponsor) and the I-864A be enough ? Do I need to fill out an I-864 as well ?

The household would be 3 and bringing the poverty to nearly 24,500 . Our total income would be 27,500 will this be good to satisfy NVC ?

  7. I'm from Davao. Try Sychar hotel or d'leonor hotel in bajada. It's near NBI. And don't worry davao is the 4th safest city in the world and it's the land of honest taxi drivers. If you have questions on where to go and what to do just message me. I've done with my NSO documents so I surely know the process. With regards to NBI, I didn't get yet until I get my interview letter from the us embassy cause it the clearance is only valid for a year and I've heard consul requires a 6month old clearances only. But now hurry for me cause the former lawyer working in the NBI is our godmother in our wedding, I'll just ask help to her if in case I already need to get the clearance. If u have questions just message me privately. Goodluck

We were approved at USCIS in 43 days . I knew they were giving expedite to the Philippines , but did not expect it so soon . My wife is 4 months pregnant and on a bus to Davao now . When I was there we took a bus together and oh boy what an experience ! I can imagine a lot of CR breaks for her . She said she would just inform the driver when she does . She should be there in a few hours . The plan is to get the NSO marriage first then get the hotel . I told her about the Sychar and she will check it out . Then the next day she will go to NBI . Just in case we will get a cenmar . Couldn't hurt to have every document we can get . Also if money and time permits a 3D ultrasound ! Super excited to find out the sex of the baby . In her city they do not have one , so we would have to wait until six months .

    Thanks everyone for the help

  8. Marco Polo is a 4/5 star hotel by US standards I would say. I've stayed there several Times. They will arrange a van to take you from airport to hotel if you ask them.

A word of advice. When I went to this NBI office early just after it opened with my fiance the official immediately closed the gate when he saw I was from US. He said they were at max capacity and we would have to return the next day. My wife said to let her talk to him. He basically wanted a bribe "tip". Then he opened the gate, gave us some paper and told us to wait. Once we were called they brought us into the office where a man at a desk also wanted a bribe. This was on top of the normal fee for NBI. I'm just letting you know you might want to let her go by herself or you will spend a bit extra and maybe have some hassles.

My wife will be with her sister in law . I always tell her to be careful and to be smart . Do not show a lot of money and keep some hidden . She is 4 months pregnant and that trip will be tough . She has to do it though since we will need the papers soon . Things are going quick ! We were approved on the 4th and they shipped our case the next day to NVC . I already got the hard copy NA02 and it was mailed the next day too !

  9. My fiancee is from Davao . She said Hotel Sychar is walking distance from the NBI office near Victoria Plaza which is a big mall in Davao City. Price is reasonable. The NSO office is in Cabaguio St. You can take a taxi cab to get there. I dont know if you are flying to Davao City but the airport is not that far from either of these goverment offices. It is just the traffic that you have to be aware of especially now that the mayor of Davao has lower the speed limit.

Thanks I checked it out online and looks like the one .

  10. OK USCiS has shipped our case to NVC already . I have a question about the documents we need . The NSO marriage and birth certificate we will have in a few days . The NBI document will take some time about 1 month . Will NVC allow that to be provided at the interview ? The expedite has caught us totally by surprise . Hopefully we will have it by the time we complete the first stages .

  11. If they do catch the error USCIS may send an RFE discrepancy on marriage certificate . Asking for a letter of explanation about the discrepancy . I just got one about our marriage certificate and sent in an explanation letter . They also said if needed send in a corrected marriage certificate . Which we could not do since it would take more then 6 months in the Philippines to get it done .

Since you are dealing with the United States I would advise to get the certificate amended and also write an explanation to why you corrected it . This way you can be ready to just send in the RFE response right away and won't lose too much time . I sent mine in and 3 days later got the notice of RFE response review , so its fairly quick to get back on track .

If you do not get an RFE at the NVC stage I would send in the amended certificate and the explanation letter . Maybe someone else with more knowledge can chime in , but that would make sense to me to do that . This way the corrected certificate and letter explaining the changes will be known to the CO .

  12. Each petition requires its own fee. The visa fee is separate as well but the 88 aos fee covers both cases.

Ther is the $165 new immigrant fee that is requrired after the visa is issued so that they will produce the green card. That is also per person. If youve been married less than 2 years at POE you will have to remove conditions which is another $590.

This $590 fee has to be paid upon entry to the USA ?
