Hello people, thanks to everybody . I went to Dominican Republic with my daughter green card expired and extension letter, I was scared because two days before my flight I got the approval letter from USCIS I tried to changed my flight but I had to pay to much for it. So I decided to travel. My trip was JFK to Punta Cana ( DR) Thank GOD I Did not have any issued , At the Airport In Dominican Republic I said about my daughter Green Card was expired they saw the letter and all the process was nice. The same happened arriving to JFK . When I got home my daughter's green card was in the mail box.

Please any advice, days ago I posted asking about travel with the extension letter, but today when I got home I found by mail the I- 797 letter that my daughter's green card was approved . The thing is that we are flying this Wednesday and the letter says YOU SHOULD NOT TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY BEFORE RECEIVING YOUR NEW CARD. I called the airline to change the flight but it cost me 3 hundred dollars. I don't know is the extension letter still works it expire on March.

Hello. Is there anybody here with experience traveling to Dominican Republic with green card expired and extension letter. My daughter's Green card is expired and we are flying next week to DR her conditional status expire on March 2018, she has 9 months waiting for approval but still nothing. I know the letter says we can work and travel but I'm a little scare that at the airport they don't allow my daughter to come back USA. ( Punta cana airport and jetblue airline) Please let me know any experience .

I recently get married to my US citizen husband. He will be filing for my green card, but I have a 6 years old daughter from another relationship but was not married. Can he file for my daughter at the same time he is filing for me? If not what's the process for my child who is now his stepchild?
Hello, your husband needs to fill out two separated i130 forms ( one for you and another for your child) and pay fees for both. That was my case when my husband applied for me and my daughter. We filled two i130 forms, sent all the documents required about our relationship and my daughter birth certificate. We received everything together.

@jose&ive Congrats! Can you tell us what is the date of the approval letter so folks can add you to the tracker? Also, do you mind me asking, was your letter signed by the local service center director?

It sure does have the signature of the center director, yup. What's that about? Is it something new?
Thanks
Hello people, today I got I-797 notice of the conditional resident approved. it says I should receive my GC within 60 days. My case status online has not changed still says Fees were waived.
NOA1 October 31/2016. I'm so happy. I'm going to apply now for citizenship base in 3 years.
I hope everyone who is waiting to approve has good news

Hello, I check my case online too and they have not update yet since Oct 2016.
Praying for approvals at least from November, it's frustrating, almost one year and nothing. Good luck for every one.

Hello, I'm from October and nothing, even my case status online still says fees were waived. I review often and any update.

Just checked. Mine still says the same thing "fees were waived" since October 2016! It's been 8 months and no change :/
Thanks for reply Ozzys, Best of luck for us, we need it with this long wait

Hello, I would like to know if when you check your case status online still says
On 11/17/2016 at 8:14 PM, ozzys said:I have the same case status. Filed for I-751, never filed any sort of waiver, fees are already cashed, biometrics done and my case status says:
"Fees Were Waived
On October 17, 2016, we received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number XXXX...."
If this is a glitch it's not just happening to you. Did you call the Customer Center? Wondering what they told you if you did.
Also my first EAC number on the biometrics notice does not work with the USCIS online case status but the second one does... I hope that's normal.
Hello, please let me know if when you check your case status online it still says Fees were Waived
My priority day is October 31- 2016 , Biometric on December 4- 2016 ,since that time my cases status online has not changed. Fees were Waived. I never applied for waiver . ( Removing conditions for CR1-89)

Hello all !!
I am bringing my two stepchildren who are 9 and 8, to come live to the US with their father and I. They are currently living with the grandmother in Dominican Rep who is their mothers, mom. My husbands ex gave the mom consent to be the guardian since she lives in Canada now. I need advice on whether I need to bring a consent letter to my interview signed by the mother or the grandmother, granting me permission to bring the children to live in the US with their father and me. They're interview is on Dec 21st.
Thanks in advance for your help
Hi, JJT, YOU DON'T NEED TO TAKE ANY CONSENT LETTER TO THE INTERVIEW. You'll need that only at the airport. ( I had the same situation with my daughter and they did not asked for her father consent at the interview).

Yes all in Spanish, original and legalized. I sent all my civil documents in Spanish and did not have checklist
-
you don't need to translate any document sent to nvc, not waste money on translations, birth certificate , marriage and divorce of the beneficiary must be original unextended and legalized.
