I am in the process of filling form N-400, I came across part 10, Question 9, they asked about previous spouse immigration status when marriage ended. My first husband was undocumented, I don’t think that would be a problem but for some reason I feel uneasy answering this question, I am not sure what to write on the “explain box”, what would be the appropriate term? Ilegal Immigrant, Undocumented? Unlawful Resident? Has anyone else been in this situation? TIA.
