    Sorry, was in a rush that I didn't noticed you changed the number.

    Once they get here the GC should come automatically. In terms of applying for a SSN, the SSA recommends waiting 10 days, but some on this forum have said they have gone within 3 days of arriving and had no issues in terms of applying for a number. We were lucky when I took my in-laws to apply for theirs, because I picked a office that is in a quiet part of town and we went during a snow storm (light snow and stopped by the time we got home). We were in and out of the office within 30 minutes.

    interview this morning, APPROVED, only 5 questions:

    Who is calling u to the USA ? my spouse

    what year u get married? 2009

    do have kids ? yes, 1

    and your husband does he have kids? yes our only one baby.

    how many months u pass in the states when u gave birth to your child ? 5

    your visa is approved Mam, go pay the fee.

    they say I will have passport back in 2 weeks. they also take my old passport with tourist visa valid till next year.

    Waiting for your loved ones from Haiti

    Thank you for talking about your experiences. I'm currently going through the k1 process with my fiancé and am worried once things get to haiti that they will be slow. Anyone have a difficult time getting a police certificate in haiti? Also do you know how long those are valid for? Thanks.

    You can obtain The police certificate in 2 weeks. go to DGI delmas 19 with a copy of your passport to buy the recepisse( it cost 28 Gdes) and with this, 2 photos, birth certificate, a photocopy of the passport you Go to DCPJ at Clercine.

    Sometimes, the person who is in charge to sign the PC is not available. so the sooner you request it the better it is.

    I think it is valid for us immigtation for 1 year.

    Guys, I really need your advice.

    My company retrenched me at the end of june due to budget reduction. and now 14 days from the interview they want to hire me in another unit for a 3 months contract. do you think i can accept and resign after the interview. my daughter and I will flight to New york on september 1st if the visa is approved.

    If I was only sure about the result of the interview I would'nt accept this job.but you never know.

    I am confuse.

    Got the text! VISA APPROVED!!! I know his dad was watching over him this morning. Thank you dwheels, Saylin, k.dlg, jsumner, BOS_LHR, Kaylara, LifeOnHold, ArthurAndMarcela, LoveMyTico, aleksandra, all my September filers, everyone else I'm forgetting - LORD I feel like I just won an Oscar!     VISA APPROOOOOVEEEDDD!!! :dancing::dance::D:wub:

    I will be posting his interview review to our timeline shortly. His interview was at 8am this morning and he was in and out in less than an hour!! MY HUBBY IS COMING HOME ON THE 30TH WITH MEEE!!!! YAYYY!!!!!! :D:luv:

    Thank you to everyone in this community who has supported us and been there with us through the frustrations, tears, small triumphs, and finally here at the last steps before we are together permanently (esp my Sept peeps and Brit/American duos - lookin at you guys!).
