    Our POE was 16 sep...According to ELIS the green card was mailed on oct 8..

    Regarding SS, even though we checked the box on ds 260, we still havent received SS..we went to local office in NJ to ask about it..they said that we have to wait for 3 weeks for it to arrive..if it doesnt arrive by oct 5, come visit us again...we went to SS office on oct 6 n only then they applied it for us n said that it would take 7-10 days..so we r still waiting for SS..i think we will get the green card 1st in our case..

    I dont no y we have to wait for sooo long for SS..the lady at local SS office that their system wont let them enter into system before 3 weeks after POE..which i thought was strange..

    Hope we get it soon??

    Did the local office say a number has been assigned? Wait until Thurs-Fri and if you don't receive a card by then, go into the office and apply. They tell you to wait 3 weeks but most members here seem to get their cards in the mail in 7-10 days or not at all. There's no way to check status on this apart from going to the office in person and asking for information.

    For the green card, you can use the ELIS account you created to pay the $165 immigrant fee to track status. When the status there changes from Accepted to Optimized, you can use the receipt number starting with IOE to track card production on the USCIS Case Status website.

    Our POE date was 16 sept 2014, we still have not received the SSC, we went to local office to ask about it, they said u will get it in mail, if u dont get anything by 6th oct then come back to us..y is it taking so longg? :( n how do we find out about our green card progress on uscis.gov? do we click on case status check? which receipt number we enter? And is there any number where we can call and find out about SSC?

    Cool experience!! Congrats from a slightly jealous VJ buddy. :no:

    Don't stress about it. In Transit starts from the moment the case is forwarded to NVC's mailroom to the moment the case gets logged in at the destination consulate, including waiting times at both mailrooms. Mine stayed in transit for 12 days... and it never appeared on DHL tracking.. go figure!

    Ull be done with it soonnn...:):)....all with good endings...

    i paid $165 uscis immigration fee by us bank account today.n i got the email saying Your payment has been submitted to Pay.gov and the details are below. If you have any questions or wish to cancel this payment, you will need to contact National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

    Then theres tracking ID n account holders information.

    My question is that is this the receipt i need to show at the airport? Or am i gonna get another email once they take out the payment from bank account?

    Our flight is on the 16th..will i get confirmation email before that? Or this is the confirmation email?

    thanks..the CO was very friendly..actually hes our neighbor in islamabad :P so he became all excited wen he looked at the address cuz he once lived in that same street n now he lived behind my susraal :P but that didnt have anything to do with the visa interview..i have added the review in my timeline..do read it..even though im in pakistan my hubby didnt take me to the interview with him..cuz he said he wud get all confused me being there n being all bossy ??but he was telling me that everyone for immigrant visas that day got the visas..jus be confident n give the answers confidently.IA he will get the visa in couple of days..

    Aww thank you so much..im soo happy u finally have an interview date :):):)

    Yes everything went so smooth...along with alot of political issues here...we werent even sure if embassy would be open since everything else is closed in islamabad..but alhumdolilah we got lucky..now lets see wen my hubby gets the passport...

    Even though im in pakistan these days with him..he didnt take me to the interview cuz he said he would get all confused :P :p but at the end of the day everything worked out...

    Any of you scheduled this past week had status changed to In Transit? After sending DHL packets all over the world every single working day in July, the only packets NVC sent in August were on Aug 5th as per DHL Tracker. Possible reasons I can think off:

    a) NVC is pulling all staff from outgoing mailroom to other duties. (Most Probable)

    b) NVC changed their shipper's reference format to throw us off. (Probable)

    c) NVC switched to a different courier. (Least Probable)

    Any ideas?

    Nope..mine is still at NVC

    And then there was only me !!! What gives? I'm the only VJ'er left unscheduled. The number of cases that get shipped to Kuwait every month could be counted on one hand!

    Emailed the embassy and they gave me a noncommittal response: "As soon as your case is ready to move forward, we will contact you immediately." Even NVC's Arthur could do better than that!

    Interviewww scheduled finally..i jus called n found outt...its on 2nd september 2014..i asked when am i gonna get the email..she said they just scheduled it right now so ill get it in couple of days..i cudnt believe my ears...soo happyyyy..

    I think they just started scheduled..people call back today after some time...

    Soo happyy,..she was asking me do u have any other questions...n i cudnt say anything out of happiness..jus had a huge grin on my face ?????
