When they scan the packets you wont get any email ( You have to call to them find out if they received the packets).
But when they review then you might...

Hello There,
Now that you have submitted everything to NVC, its waiting time again....
I have also submitted Civil Docs and the AOS packet for my Wife at the END of January. You can call NVC and ask them if they have received the packets.
They say it can take upto 30 Business days to process the paperwork. And if they need something, they will send you a checklist (Hopefully Not), and then the 30 days times restarts again.
If not already obtain the PCC from the local Police Station ( Its not stated as required on NVC website but just in case).
My guess is that the interview date will in April.
Hope that helps.
Good Luck.

Hopefully by the end of this day they will be in system....

Police Recordsdon't you have to send the police report with the IV packet to NVC?
thanks,
Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:
All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office
Source: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/IN.html
Only PCC is from Passport Office is requested by NVC.
-
I did but she still couldn't manage to print them.
Did you have to send petitioner's birth certificate in your IV packet? I haven't read anywhere that its required but my wife's agent wants her to put my birth certificate in her IV packet
Nope, I only sent the Beneficiary's Birth Certificate.
-
Well, if you could make a PDF and send it to her.
I don't know if it makes any difference.....
I didn't send any thing extra....
-
I was wondering if its ok to send skype chat log with AOS packet?
I think, if you want to send additional proof you should include it in the IV packet.
-
hey , we have similar timeline and I was wondering if you already requested the police clearance certificate and the police report. I just got my NVC number and wondering if now is the good time to have my wife send it over.
sincerely,
gill,
Hello,
We already had the PCC (Passport Office) done as, I sent in the IV packet to NVC.
Working on the police Report.
The PCC is valid for a Year i think.
Good Luck.

When you create a profile on ustraveldocs website during your fingerprinting appointment it also asks a question about the language you want the interview to be held. We chose English but i can't remember if it had all the other languages other than Hindi.
Hello There,
First congrats on Getting the interview Date!!
If you don't mind could you please answer the following question ?
Were you instructed to make appointment for fingerprints after the interview date or you did that before ?
Thanks.

Update:
Just received an Invoice email for IV Fee.....
AOS fee still in process....
-
Cool..
More waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Well I guess, I will find out if it worked or not in couple of days....
-
Just got off the phone with NVC, about my AOS fee. I paid it on JAN 15th using Google Chrome and it is still Processing.
The REP told me that I should have used Internet Explorer.
I personally think it shouldn't make any difference, but any other case like this?
-
I'm really not sure. Just read the reviews and ratings of the apps you see and download the free ones or lite versions since you're only scanning one document. You'll eventually find one that will produce a scanned version that you think is good enough. Just be sure to scan it in good lighting and avoid shadows.
Google Drive has a nice Scan to Pdf feature.
-
Has anyone experienced an error when you pay the AOS fee? After I submit the payment it gave me error, so I logged out and logged back in and now it says fee in process
Same here...
I was using Chrome!!!
-
Also I just received an email from NVC to pay AOS fee but when I log in to payment portal it's still giving me error of termination for past two days. I know this error means good thing but since they have already send me an email to pay why can't i log in?
