Hi,
I hope this is the right place to ask this question. Let say my full name is Jane Melissa Smith with Jane being my first name and Melissa being my middle name. In my first language, my full name is written as Smith Melissa Jane. And apparently Smith Melissa Jane is my passport name.
I first entered the US with a non-immigrant visa Jane Melissa Smith. I filed form DS-160 to renew my visa with the exact same information but was given a new with visa with my first name being Melissa Jane. To my knowledge, the embassy messed up the system and everyone was given the wrong name on their new visas. I understand it was my fault to use the new visa to enter the US which caused the wrong name on my I-94. So is there anything I can do to fix my I-94? I heard if I apply for ssn and driver’s license, they will look at the name on I-94.

Congrats! Did your husband submit/bring any pictures of you and him to the interview? I only included 4 years tax, lease, joint car, joint checking account statements, scanned credit cards showing our names with the same card number and utilities. I don't know what else I should bring. We don't have benefits from our employers at the moment.

When they say we started scheduling interview process does it mean the Background check is DONE or has started? anyone know?
One person in Jan filers just received an interview letter a few days ago. In line to interview scheduled is 3.5 months. I'm a March filer and hoping we all will receive good news soon

Hi guys,
I hope this is a right place to ask this question. My sister recently failed her F1 interview and we understand my background played an important role here. I came to the US years ago on F1 visa, got married and I'm currently in line for citizenship interview. My plan is to bring my parents here after I'm naturalized. Most of my extended family is in the US and I only have a sibling, and I think she will be over 21 when my parents receive their green card to start filing the paperwork. I understand it's tricky here, but I do hope she can go to college in the US and learn English. By the time she graduates from college, she'll be able to become a resident through my parents. Otherwise, it might be harder for her to go to school, learn English and make new friends at a later age. My spouse and I are willing to pay for her out-of-state tuition.
I was wondering if there was any solution for this? I've been in the States for so long and really want to see my little sister more often. My mom wouldn't be able to move here if my sister is left alone in my home country.

Did your online status change after you received the biometrics notice? My NOA is 3/6 and I haven't received anything for biometrics.

The notice was dated 3/11. I did an early walk in yesterday and got my biometrics done, took 20 minutes. Now waiting to have status changed to "In line..."
Hmm I got an email/text notification when they mailed out NOA, never received anything for biometrics. And we mailed our packages to AZ on the same day...

We live in Chicago so those cameras and parking meter are crazy. He got over 20 tickets and paid them as soon as we received them in the mail. So I shouldn't report those tickets? I'm a bit paranoid. We don't get food stamps but my USC spouse has medicaid and I have financial aid for college. I thought good moral character meant if you don't get arrested, and you're good to go. After browsing visajourney, I lost my cool...

My husband and I share 1 car. He did delivery for the past couple years and got many tickets (you name it: speeding, red line, parking). Since I added him as a joint owner on the car title, they only mailed the tickets to me. Would it affect my application? I seriously don't know how I can prove I wasn't the one driving the car. I never got any pull over. We paid for the tickets with our credit cards and didn't receive any ticket within the past year. I sent my application already for your information.

Hi guys I'm a little bit confused about the part 9 - time outside the US. I came here in 2010 on F1 visa, and received the 2 year green card in 5/2014. I went home twice in 2012 and 2015. Should I include the 2012 trip in part 9? I'm filing based on 3 year rule.

It's been 14 days and I haven't received my card yet. We filed our tax for 2016 already and only need the green card to mail out my N400. The tracking number isn't included this time so I have no idea when it will arrive...

I agree with Damara. You decided to buy a house with someone other than your spouse or family member is a huge red flag, and you all live in the same house. I wouldn't share a property with my cousin, and how would his family trust you enough to let you co-own the house? You should see a lawyer. It's very risky to mention the house in the package.

I think they shut down the website or something. You can try to email them at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov include your I-751 case number, your alien number, date and time that you contacted USCIS by phone. Good luck to everyone

After contacting my congressman, my case was updated. They ordered my card today.

So I got my conditional green card in May 2014, should I file N400 in Feb? My roc 751 with CSC is still pending without rfe or interview...

Hi, I didn't see a thread for Jan 2018. I sent the mail on Jan 9, USCIS received it on Jan 10 and the checks haven't been cashed yet. Is that normal? I prepared the forms myself, so I'm not positive if everything was good enough...
