So even if my ex spouse writes a letter or letters from their family and friends against me to the USCIS at this point, it will not make a difference because I 751 waiver has already been adjudicated? Moreover, does living together for a little over a year before and after marriage have any effect on N 400 decision after I 751 approval? It was almost a two year marriage and we lived separately for 1 year of that marriage. Thanks

Worried Joel - Did you hire a lawyer. I am not sure why they are reviewing your case so much? Any criminal history?

Why would your ex or his family or friends even know you're applying for citizenship? They would also have to know your A# and where to send things, and I think at this point it's too late anyway. You're not a conditional resident anymore.

I married a USC and adjusted my status by I 485. Unfortunately, marriage did not work out and we got divorced after living together for about a year together. At the end of the marriage when we were fighting my USC spouse accused my of marrying them for immigration status and also accused of lying and cheating on them throughout the marriage. When I applied for I 751 good faith marriage waiver I candidly mentioned every detail of the marriage in the affidavit and supporting documents including these accusations. I also submitted pictures, emails, travel, insurances, band account, tax, memberships, cards, gifts etc. I 751 good faith marriage waiver was approved. Will USCIS question me again on my previous marriage and/or readjudicate my permanent green card which they gave me after I 751 waiver approval? Will these accusations or previous divorce lead to denial of N 400, revocation of green card and put me in removal proceedings? Should I be worried? Please advise. Thanks.

Don't be worried. Plenty of people have less than straightforward marriages/Green Card applications etc. and you are applying for citizenship on your own based on 5 years of LPR rule. I was divorced and remarried, and sent in the divorce document along with my application, and the Interviewing Officer only asked for the dates we were married and divorced. (it was from over 15 years ago so luckily I reviewed all dates beforehand).

Your I-751 has been adjudicated and you were approved for Permanent Resident and now it's just the step of all documentation for your Citizenship. And they will not revoke your green card and put you in removal proceedings.

Don't even worry about citizenship.. Enjoy the relief you must feel now, get your life going and do the citizenship thing when you feel like you can really enjoy that process.

Yes, you can certainly do that - on the November 2013 filers thread a person wrote a letter to the Local Office because his wife wasn't getting scheduled for Oath for a long time. He received a response pretty promptly (I believe he put in his email address in the letter as well) and his wife got her Oath ceremony scheduled soon after.

I would wait for a couple of weeks and then if nothing changes or you're not scheduled for Oath, send a letter to the Local Office, addressed to the Supervisor or Manager of that particular Office, and write down your concerns in the letter. People do get good responses addressing the actual peeps who oversee things in the Local Offices.

Both must apply: 3 years resident and 3 years married to the same person. As Caryh pointed out, you can apply 90 days prior to the date your "resident since" date reads.

Yes bring the marriage certificate - my officer asked for it even thought I applied under the 5 year rule. I don't think you need any other marriage evidence.

It will only show the transcripts for whoever's name is first in the tax filings. So if it's your husband, you must put his information in on the website.

You only need 3 years in all cases and sometimes they don't even ask for them. I applied by 5 year rule and had three years of transcripts with me and the officer didn't ask for them at all. You're good with the three years! Good luck. You don't need to send them in - only bring with you to interview.

Why do you need 2009 transcript? Just get the past three years and that should be sufficient if they are even asked.

Since she is separated, the rule of being married to the same spouse may present a problem since one must furnish proof of ongoing marriage with financial comingling etc. It is better to wait and file for the naturalization in two more years with the 5 year LPR rule.

You'll be fine with the passports that you have. They just look for the entry/exit dates to verify it matches the information they have in their system already. Good luck and don't be nervous!!!

When I took the Oath, they asked everyone to make sure they Naturalization Certificate had all the information correct before we left the venue. So you will have a chance at the Oath ceremony to correct the information, and my best guess is that they will mail you a corrected certificate if they cannot fix it onsite (and most likely they can't but I am not sure.)
