I have read the US Embassy needs to perform terrorist and fraud checks that can take 2-4 weeks. Wondering if more government workers are really involved making the final decision??

The frustrating part is wanting to be with the one you love so badly and waiting ....

Did the top title of your CEAC status changed from Immigrant Visa application to Non Immigrant Visa application with Ready status?

It needs to be within 6 months prior to your interview date.

From other posters experience here..it should soon switch to Issued in a day or so if you were approved in your interview. Did it change to Non Immigrant application there as well?

All K1 petition are sent to texas..from there they send them to either California service center or texas service center. You don't have any control on where it gets sent out to. So you are right on track. Your NOA1 letter will let you know where it's at. Good Luck!

My Fiance has an interview in couple days. As we try to prepare for the interview there are few things we are coming across that we are just not sure about. It will help if some one who has gone through Islamabad Embassy that can help us.

So, We didnt have an official engagement ceremony. I have visited him in London and thats where he proposed and we got engaged. Since then I have went to Pakistan twice to visit him but no ceremony. We did exchange rings in pakistan but it was very informal. We did it more for ourselves. so no pictures of that. We do have a lot of pictures from all 3 of my visits. Would that be a problem? The appointment letter states to bring Engagement pictures. But we dont really have any pictures of the engagement since there was no ceremony. Is that gonna be a red flag or problem? I told my fiance to be honest and tell them that since my parents weren't in pakistan we couldn't really do an engagement ceremony without them and its not necessary in our religion. Fiance is worried that they asked for it and we dont have it.

Secondly, I gave him a promise ring that he normally wears. its a band. I am worried that they may misinterept it as wedding band since in USA guys wear band on the left hand ring finger after wedding. Do you think that could create issues that the interview (my photobook that i created includes a picture of both of our hands with the rings). Also, for prior marriage/divorce would copies be okay? I sent him priority mail certified copies but it seems like its lost somewhere in the mail and hasn't reached him yet.

thanks for all your help. My fiance ended up going through union council.. long story short it took us literally a month to try to get the birth certificate. We did try the money method unfortunately that didn't help us at all.

Try either morning around 8am or 11pm. The wait time to speak to rep can also take up to 30 minutes

So would having a B form instead of birth certificate is acceptable?

I am at the stage of collecting paperwork for packet 3. My fiance is having trouble obtaining a birth certificate. His birth was never entered into the union council and the late entry process is very complex and can take upto two months. He has the B form. Is there any other way around it. I am mainly looking for answers from pakistani people who might have had similar issues so admin if u could please put this topic in the appropriate portal for pakistan.

WOW..... I called (second time) and I got the (what seemed like) the most helpful person....

Anyway.... She was shocked I hadn't heard anything about my case by now, so she submitted a Case status review, then she proceeded to tell me "We have a projected date of June 3rd for you, it's strange you have not gotten an RFE or anything at this point"..... After this she told me basically how to "buck the system"... If I don't hear anything by June 3 to call back and ask for a level 2.... I have to ask 2-3 times they HAVE to try and persuade you not to go to tier 2, she even said "They will tell you it hasn't been 30 days since... Just ignore that and keep pressing".... Then she also gave me best times of day, and days to call on.... So now hopefully I will hear something soon... Now I have another number that if I call back I'll give them.

How did you get a projected date? I am March filer at CSC my NOA1 date is march 10. And the representative just said that the processing time is 5 month. So I am still within the processing time and i should wait. Could you please share the information your representative share with you. I would really appreciate it.

Does anyone know why or how they process applications? They dont seem to go by the date submitted. Its so unfair. It makes me furious.

I am luck and got quick approval but it makes me question the system and whether I will not be so lucky in the next few stages of my journey.

It really angers me too especially when the uscis states that they go by the order the receive. Its more of the luck of the draw. I think i am one of the last ones at CSC that is waiting from march!!

65 days since NOA1..I am at CSC... and no sight of NOA2...And it sucks that they are already approving people from May while I am still waiting from early March. There really is no system. its luck of the draw!

55 days since Noa1..I was one of the first march filer..I am at CSC where apparently they are approving fast..not in my case!!! ...this wait is killing me.

Could you guys please update your time lines. It helps us fellow pakistani K1 visa filers have a better idea of how fast is the process moving or what to expect.

Actually it's not! The ones you see from march or April or even February are from California Service Center. Some of them think they are being processed by Texas Service Center just because they send their package to Texas, so they fill their timelines like that on VJ. And they mix up the data

Texas is processing December January files now. So at least 4 month of waiting for us.

I am at CSC and I filed in early march. Seeing people get approved from CSC that filed late march and april is kind of frustrating.

Another work week starts today. According to VJ time line estimated this is suppose to be my lucky week. So lets see how accurate that is. I am sure gonna be on the website every single free minute i have during this week.

I am starting to get pretty anxious and upset..especially after seeing approvals for people that filed end march april when there are so many people still waiting from january feburary...Seems like they have no organized system...its more of luck of the draw!!!
