I had my interview today in Jacksonville, FL. And it went very well! I got approved and 10 min after the interview my online status was already changed to "new card is being produced"

Officer was very nice, my interview lasted about 15 min. He just asked for my I-94 and asked us if we want to show him some photos. After that we signed a paper which says that in 1 year and 9 months we must apply for a 10 year green card.

My husband asked him what was wrong and why my I485 was approved and then reopened and now interview. The officer said that he can't tell us, they just wanted us to come today. Also he (Officer) was asking about my recent trip to Ukraine on Advance Parole so I guess they had some concerns about my recent flight. But it doesn't matter anymore I feel so blessed and happy.

I still don't understand how they can schedule interview after approval like really what this all means

But my concern is that they called me for an interview after approval, I received my welcome notice, but never received a green card

So they could approve me by mistake or what?

and why would you send welcome notice if you haven't even completed reviewing my case

I am so confused right now

Beneficiary will be my husband?

What can he find out? Like why it was reopened and what to expect on interview?

Is there anything I can find out by the phone?

I mean they sent me interview letter appointment which is in one week

To.me it looks like all I can do is just wait for the interview

And prepare all documents for it

And of course pray and hope that everything will be fine

In welcome letter they said that permanent residence has been registred and I was approved however the nextvday I got reopening notice.

So I was hoping it was sime type of glitch in their system and I should receive my gc soon but it didn't happen and today I got letter saying that in one week I must appear in the local office for an interview.

So what happened to me is smth I would never expect. First my case was approved, the next day it was reopened and now I have to go there for an interview.

Yes, I got my welcome letter on Sep 14th, so I was thinking and hoping that this is it

In June 2015 I got a letter of Potential Interview Waiver and today got a letter saying that I must appear in my local office for an interview. It's just in one week!!!

Please share your experience. Did it happen to someone before here?

I don't know( it's been more then one month now, I will call them in the end of this month if I will not get any updates.

Hey guys. Please help me with some thoughts or even better if you experienced it yourself.

So on September 14th I got welcome notice in the mail saying that my green card was approved.

The next day I got a letter from uscis saying that my case was reopen. It doesn't have much text, only that the case was reopen and they will mail me adecision or if they need smth. My online status says that it was reopen too.

I didn't receive a green card yet obviously.

Yesterday I called them and spoke to tier2, they sent request I guess to my service center about what is going on with my case. Also they said I will receive a letter within 2 weeks with more info about reopening.

I am really confused and scared. I don't know what to think and what to expect.

If you have been in situation or know somebody who has please share your thought.

Hey guys just checked my status for i-485 and it says that Case was reopen for reconsideration. 3 months ago I got interview waiver notice and now this.

Has anybody got the same status ever? If so what happened next???

Ah thanks. I believe the vast majority do, but it's interesting that some don't.

That's why you don't write anything if you don't know for sure!

Hello everybody, so today I've got this letter from USCIS called Potential Interview Waiver.

Does it mean that I will not have my interview? And they will make a decision without it?

My NOA date is March 16th, I had my biometrics on April 13th and still my EAD has not been approved

In a few more days it will be 90 days since noa!

I've never thought it can take soooo long just for EAD.

I was really worrying thinking that nobody waits so long but now I see that I am not the only one

Hello everyone! I just want to share my expirence with interview. It was scheduled at 8.30 am on June 18, I arrived 15 min earlier.

There was not too many people in immigrant hall so after I came inside I gave all my documeNts to very nice women, than she told me to wait for the interview with consul, I was waiting about 20 min.,

Then visa officer called me (he was very nice and polite as well), gave me back all my document, asked to read the oath, took fingerprints and 10 sec. later said "YOUR VISA IS APPROVED" !!! I was like whaaaaaat and that's all? He said yes, I wished him a very good day.

And I wish everybody here so easy interview !!! At 9 am I was already outside the embassy

Hi, we are trying to call NVC to get this number...my fiance tried to call even at 7am in US and later and trying to call now but all we hear is this sound like they are busy I mean no answerphone nothing...only this beep beep beep and after this the call ends...

We call this number (603) 334-0700

So please can somebody say is it ok or there is another number ... because we thought we will hear answerphone but there is only this beep beep beep like it's wrong number...

So, November 21 2013 is when we first got our Notice Of Action (1), the receipt number in the mail.

Hi Linda, I am sorry to hear that you are waiting so long...but we have got our NOA2 after almost 7 months from NOA1...so I understand your feeling, TSC is very slow right now...I am sure you will be approved very soon if you already waited 6 months so your approval is coming...I know it feels like this aproval will never come but trust me good news are coming!!!
