So finally update on CEAC website, someone open our case file. July to Nov 20, 2013

Medical already expired months ago. No e-mail to send new one

You should send an email to embassy and then they will ask u for medical....so send it now

guys need your help please i received my passport and visa packet today but the packet is ripped from both sides for about 1 inch and i can see the white papers from sides..is this normal?or do i have to contact embassy?

who ever received there visa packets please help me with this...thanks........

You should call DOS(dept of state) right away and email ISL embassy and let them know & ask them what to do

so zinger u never saw Expiring soon status...only AP, ready, and Issued, right???

Congrats zinger....i m sure it is....mine updated today and my status changed from Expiring soon to AP again....it was AP before and on 8th Nov it changed to Exp soon...we submitted our doc on 13 nov as they asked in reply of our email...i think they hav received our doc now....plz tell me what shud i expect...any idea???

My status changed today (with an update) from Expiring soon to AP again after 11 days ....dont know if its a good or bad sign...u were right CAROLYN we should check status when its embassy's closing time...can u tell me carolyn wat does it mean???

They didn't ask us directly for medical & ds230 & photos but when we emailed them to inquire about other stuff then they replied and in the end they wrote that our doc r expiring n we should send them new ones....

Hi dr.fiazsadiq...i m almost in same situation as u r in or were in....plz tell me what happened with ...my husband was also interviewed in Nov 2012...our case also says now Expiring Soon...we submitted our doc last week

I had interview on Nov/28/2012 . still under A.P. married to us national and have a kid in us , us national.. case created on 3may 2012 .. now on 29 sep 2013 embassy contacted and demanded for new medical report , form ds230 , and photos , all were provided on 5th Oct 2013 but after that on 21Oct 2013 i got status update over ceac.state.gov , EXPIRING SOON , now emailing to embassy lets see what happens , calling to conslate but lahore conslate is closed for unknown reasons...

its very hard and its just killing me , it sucks me each day , very very hard to live without family ... ALLAH has given me son with his blessings but still i couldnt even touch him , now my son is 1.5yr old. and i am still waiting for visa..

my mother got us visa, sister is already in us and citizen and national.. my wife put my case .... she is also us national... i need your PRAYERS and kind words.. i waited so long and was seeing VJ.. since then.

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone, i would like to share my story i joined VJ in 2011 and my journey kicked off in May 2011 when i filed for K-1 Visa. everything went smooth had my interview wife accompanied with me. got 221G including AP. sent docs then after two months they emailed us they are sending our case back to uscis with recommended of revocation, we decided to get married not to sit 6 months more on a case, later on within 2 weeks our case got reaffirmed and we couldn't do nothing cos we were already married.thereafter we took our initiative for CR-1 had my interview last month on September 20. wife accompanied with me again when i went for finger prints they didn't ask for photos and even CO didn;t even ask for the Photos something strange.after couple of questions CO clearly said he is issuing me the visa and he is very much satisfied with my relationship.me and my wife got our hopes up for a moment we were pretty much rejoiced, CO started to type in the pc and then all of a sudden he asked me if i ever used a given name. i have a Surname on my passport no given name, in my previous K-1 visa my moron lawyer used my father's name as my last name i thought its normal. but then we started to explain CO how our lawyer used my father's last name as my Given name. then he changed his mind handed me over a Green AP sheet i was much disappointed its all occurred due to the name my lawyer used. for the first 10 days my case updated 4 times. but since 30 September there is no changes in my case which is driving me insane i'm getting outta patience i should have had my visa my hand, helpless can't do nothing i can't concentrate even at work kept thinking of this i hope this will end soon and for everyone who is stuck in it Thanks.

My case dates updated on Nov 5 & 6...& then my status changed from AP to Expiring soon on 8th with an update & then it again updated on 12th...but after that no updates...Ohh yes I had emailed them after 2 months on Oct 25th and they replied on 28th the same they write to everyone about AP...but in the end they mentioned that our new medical, ds230 and new photos are required as they r expiring...we sent them last wed, nov 13...it still says Expiring on our status...and that the case is cancelled( God forbid) ...i called DOS & they said not to worry bit just send them documents...does anyone has same experience what happens after when it say Expiring soon???

Oh Carolyn I m so glad for u...I also wanted to tell u not to waste your hard earned money on medical again as it is good for a year...but I was confused too...

and yes I agree with "mimolicious" that u have shown grace and courage during this visa journey ...I m praying for u, "eabbas", "aisha and wajid", myself, and all other genuine people here who r in AP and counting every single day, that they get good news visas soon...

I m also waiting for my husband to get his visa after his interview in Nov 2012...last week I emailed the embassy if they could grant him a temporary visit visa or K-3 so that he could just visit me...its really hard for me to visit him as I have financial issues as well as my responsibilities as a mother here ...but the embassy ignored my question and just replied that we have to submit fresh medical, ds-230 and visa photos as they r all expired ....plz tell me is it a good sign or they just ask everybody after one year of AP....also they did not ask for police certificate...

Yes a lot of times, but now they say that the case is in islamabad embassy and they dont know anything in detail now...so i m just waiting and checking online everyday....i took help from our Congressman too but they r also helpless

Hi, I m new here. I found this web site a couple of days ago. I cant tell u how frustrated i have been; but after reading about the members here, their comments, i know now that i m not alone. I wish i had joined u guys earlier. We r on AP since my husband's interview in Nov 2012...but actually we submitted the required doc in march and got them approved in April 2013...so u can say our AP started again in May 2013....Ya Allah hum sab ki madad farma...Aameeen!!!!

I did apply for K-3 but both approved at the same time and they dropped my k-3
