  1. I am just curious of this 10 yr green card holder Is there any problem of going for a vacation of what had happened now that the new Administration has lots of changes regarding entering back to the USA, like rallies this week at the airports and they were banned of coming back? I knew there were only 7 countries, what if when you are on vacation the new Admin will ban some other countries again?

  2. A lot will depend on the state she is in, but yes it is most likely allowed unless there are union rules preventing it.

    thanks Penguin_ie for your comment

Most companies won't deal with drama. They'll most likely write her up any time they feel she's causing workplace conflicts and eventually try to push her out til she quits. If she doesn't quit, they'll eventually fire her for "not being a good fit for the company" or something along those lines.

But yes, this is normal for the most part in America. When someone is fired, they may never be fired for the actual reason that started the problems, they may be fired for a more vague reason that can be passed off as true.

    Example:

Someone may be habitually late, but other wise a good worker to customers. This person causes drama though and is starting issues in the work place. The bosses do like the persons ability to do their job, but don't like the drama, so they give warnings for both the drama, and anything else done wrong, like being late. The drama doesn't stop, so they fire for being habitually late. While you would try to yell "I GOT FIRED BECAUSE OF DRAMA!" the HR department will just point at something else, such as the time cards, and say "You got fired because you were always late."

thanks Ash.1101 for your comment, Yes your explanation is right

  3. So woman cries to boss about your friend. Claims friend did XYZ bad things. Boss goes to HR and gets warning letter written about friend's behaviour.

    Is this correct?

You also say 'warnings' was that a typo or did your friend have multiple warnings?

    Good luck

Hi thanks for commenting my q', oh sorry yes it's a typo "warning" and she told me that she did not do wrong but only told that woman ( in a polite manner) as my friend was the leader of the team to get ready before her time ends of the day, as she was behind already. she told me that HR only noticed that day when the written warning was give by her boss in front of her so she declined to sign it as she did not do wrong.

  4. Hello guys,

I have a question it's regarding my friend he had been working in a company for 3 years and

there was an issue with her that she did not even knew after all one of her co workers cried

infront of of their boss picking my friend as a terrible co worker and my friend was given

warnings after all the emotional drama of her co worker, and she was not even given a chance

to talk but a written warning, is this acceptable guys in the USA?

I really appreciate tour comments for this matter. thanks in advance guys

  5. Hi Guys, I have a question, my friend a LPR petitioned her unmarried children

and what confused me if my friend file for US citizenship is there changes

    of her status petition?

Or in the other way what if her children got married while she is waiting for

the petition is her petition will be forfeited?

But if she is a US citizen can she still continue her petition even if the children

    got married?

Thank you guys in advance for any comments

  6. In this country, we are free to say,... Finding Job in USA is tough because

" they always say must be BILINGUAL" SPANISH/ENGLISH,

as far as I knew USA people speak English, so why those people who migrated

to this country can turn the language, why not SPANISH people learn how to speak

    English?

SO I BELIEVE USA will be governed now by Hispanic people

  7. I am a US Citizen planning to go Philippines for a summer vacation. How long can stay there and if i overstay how much would i pay for penalty? What must i do so i can stay at least 2 months? Appreciate your help.

  8. Hi everyone in VJ, has anyone here has experienced filing ROC for k2?

the mother had already done her ROC and her son followed 1 year after her,

my question is the son is 18 yrs old and his GC is expiring soon, as the son is

of legal age, so is he the one to file for his ROC or the mother as he is still within

his mom, and his mom still sending him to school.

So in the form - Section 4 of I-751 there's no preparer's to put because his mom

is the one filing for this?

    thanks for reading and comments

  9. I don't really know what to tell you. I'm afraid this is the sort of problem that require legal consultation.

Why was his wife not his heir? Depending on the state, that might not even be legal.

I think she probably needs to consult an estate lawyer, both on that, and on whether she is liable for the taxes or the heirs are. Though that may require a tax lawyer instead.

Thank you Owen_London for your advise, yep that was I thought to consult a lawyer but I am scared as lawyers will ask professional fee but anyway I appreciate your utmost comment here, God Bless!

  10. Yes, she is probably supposed to pay.

But more information is required. Where were they living then, and so where were they tax resident?

I also don't understand what you mean when you say she owes "2012 tax year from 2011".

Does she know why her husband didn't pay taxes then?

If she does owe, she may be able to work out a phased payment schedule with the IRS to make it easier.

Thank you Owen_London for your response, her husband had filed joint-the 1040 for fiscal year 2012

but like for example the IRA of her husband on that year 2012- that he withdrew was 30k usd and the

one posted in the 1040 was like for example 20k and the notice from IRS that was sent from the IRA office was

30k so the remaining balance to pay is 10k so this is what her dilemma now. which has all the interest & etc.

that he has nothing in her coz the rest of the IRA was to his heirs not to my friend his wife"

what else we can help for my friend. aside from paying installment basis to IRS.

    God Bless

  11. Hi Vj peps, has anyone here has knowledge about IRS my friend was married to her

husband Nov 1, 2011 and her husband passed away ending of 2013, and here comes

the IRS sent her a noticed that she owed IRS of 2012 taxable year and that's from 2011

Is she -( my friend) will pay this? and it is much much money to pay and she has no money

to pay for that as she work only by the hours depending how the company needs workers

so not much money to pay for this IRS thing.

Your response is highly appreciated guys.

  12. Just pissed me off I had an account on this bank

    when I was in Florida.

and they never cared their customers, my atm card

expired that they should be the one to notify or send a

    replacement before

their customers fall in to embarrassing mode.

    stupid employees

  13. Excuse me peps her husband works in dubai not related to military US services, but an employee for a construction in dubai

and they're back to dubai, I thought that if you live in foreign land you could not get citizenship from marriage, but this

is exclusive" for them I guess, i just ask her they only stayed in USA for 3 weeks for her interview & test for naturalization.

  14. Hi peps in VJ's just asking for info about ROC approval, its my friend's

approval of her ROC,... does it says a 10 year permanency?

coz in her's it only says "CONGRATULATIONS" your request for R O C had been

approved, and she will receive the GC within 60 days from the approval

    which was last week.

Is this the one that some VJ members here received?

Looking forward for any response, thanks peps in advance

  15. There are only three ways this is possible:

1- she derived her citizenship from another relative whom you are not aware of (an American mother or father).

2- her husband is doing "special" work for the U.S. government that you are not aware of (not necessarily military).

3- she has done something to assist the US in terms of national security.

The race of the husband is irrelevant.

The nationality of the wife may be a factor... there are certain expedited classifications for people who have played a role in assisting the US in countries like Iraq.

thanks for your reply, hmm it could be  but anyway just keep on waiting till it expires :clock:
