  1. If you are married; she has to go back to UK and you file the I130. wait like 6 months and she will be processed. Even tho you are married; she will be out of status as of tuesday and here illegally. She cannot wait for the I 130 to process. You dont do the aos until they have already been approved on the I130. Sorry, but you will have to be separated for about 6 months or more.

  2. I filed the AOS for my husband ( I am the USC) When I filled out the cover letter and forms I used my new last name. However, on the cover letter i signed both last names so they would not be confused. It passed through fine, we have our interview tomorrow. Does not matter about the SS #; the number will stay the same anyway.

  3. I agree with all that is said above. Sure it is hard but why would you want to spend your face time together crabbing about things that you have no control over? We don't dwell on that. We spend face time on skype every waking hour. Whether it is playing, talking, eating, living.. we plan about our wedding and honeymoon, talk about our plans when he arrives, all the fun things that you look forward to!

I think that since "we" ( meaning us VJers) have it harder from the beginning with our relationships, it does test your limits. so yea, only the strong survive.

So as you sit back and wait ... and then wait some more while your case stagnates in the back load at the NVC; think about celebrating the holidays late, or just next year star_smile.gif
