I was calling US number for India Embassy and hence no one was available on the phone. Now I tried India number and I was able to speak to CSR and he has asked me to send scanned copy of old and new passport and he said that they will update her old profile. So I guess I should be able to get the I/L by next week.

I might get the dates even in November if all goes well with their review if at all they do on the papers sent by NVC.

I have a question.

I had sent expedite request to schedule interview in early December on 21st October (I had sent 3-4 previous expedite request which were denied throughout NVC processing).

Because my wife is pregnant of almost 20 weeks now I want to get her in USA ASAP. My case was completed on Oct 17th.

On 24th Oct I got case completion e-mail. After that I also got e-mail that consulate has accepted expedite request and email also says that my file has been immediately forwarded to embassy and interview scheduling will be done by embassy and I should not contact anymore to NVC.

I also see that my case is in Transit but at the same time it says that interview date was provided to you by NVC. But that is not true. I am unable to schedule interview online as it only allows for K1/K2 visas.

I hope on Monday I can talk to customer care and find out more but I hope by expediting now I have not done any mistake.

Please share your thoughts and experiences.

As you know my case is completed on Oct 17. I had submitted DS-260 on 09/05 online. At that time my wife had old passport with her maiden name. Now she has new passport with married name and of course with new passport number.

I do not see any way to edit that DS-260 online.

I have following questions:

1. How to edit it?

2. Will it affect the completed case by any chance?

3. When should I edit it? After interview letter or before? I do not want to jeopardize anything now.

4. Should I just tell at the time of the Interview that we have a new passport with married name? Will that be sufficient? Or it will create any issues in the last moment?

It seems your case is completed on 10th October but you are not in the list as case completed. Please confirm so that someone can edit your name. Also let us know if you received case completed e-mail last week.

We called NVC today they said we have to count 30 business days starting from sep 25!! Wat about oct 8 when we resubmitted ds260? He said no count from sep 25 so ds 260 doesn't really need another 30 business days !! What do u think ??!!! Hope it's really trueeee and I could get cc before the end of this week

NVC has completed the review of this case. However, our review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and supporting documents that you have submitted indicates that there is still some missing documentation.

We are sending you the attached checklist, which indicates which documents are still missing. You should obtain these documents and forward them to the visa applicant so they may be presented at the final interview. The applicant must present all required forms and documents, including the missing items to the Consular officer at the visa interview.

There was a Holiday on Oct 14th so today Oct 17th it will be 16th Business day.

BTW, NVC is not yet opened for 17th October as day just started so should know by EOD today Oct 17th.

I have question though. Last time I came to know about AOS checklist on 19th Business day (From 22nd August to 18th September).

It is very well possible that I get checklist again for AOS but at the same time, they will ask me to take the newly filled form at the time of Interview. Its not encouraging but I will live with that. That is still case completion to me.

Has anybody documents ever get accepted less than 15 working days?

Mine was 15th working day today and operator told it is still under review. If 15 Business day thingy is true, I should be getting AOS completion by tomorrow.

There is no harm in calling them few times a week. I some times call them 2 times a day so you should just call them .

I just called but NVC REP tells me that you need to wait for 30 Business days. Not sure there would be any change in status if I call tomorrow. I might call one more time in next few hours and then try tomorrow. Worst case it should be completed on 18th which is I think cutoff to get Interview letter in first week of November for Interview date in December.

My Case has been completed at NVC yesterday and the lady told me that I will receive interview letter in early November and the interview will be scheduled in DEC month if the PD will match. She basically told me that they are scheduling interviews in first 2 weeks of the month .

& to those who asked, here's a little "timeline" of my last package sent to NVC.

I lost track of how many days it took for them to review my husband's DS-230 with Civil Documents, so i'll skip that..

But with the AOS checklist, I sent two. One was received on Sept 16 (Assuming they entered it on Sept 17, maybe 18?) and i got a response today, so that would make it 16 business days since they RECEIVED it (like i said, i don't know when they started to enter it in the system). I got another checklist but they asked me to have my husband bring it to his interview, which would mean i am CC, today, Oct 8, US time.

My 2nd AOS (Joint Sponsor) was received on Sept 20 and since that's a Friday, i am just expecting that they started to enter that one on Sept 23, Monday, and expecting to hear back from them on Oct 14. I hope nothing changes with my CC and they will ask all other required documents during his interview like with my 1st CC email. hehe

Now.. is it November yet? I cannot wait for our I/L.

So it is clear. Your 1st AOS package was entered into system on SEP 18 and it is accepted on OCT 8, i.e. 15th Business Day.

The 2nd AOS package might have been entered on SEP 24th. So if at all they have to review/respond on that they will do so on OCT 14 Monday or OCT 15 Tuesday if Monday is Holiday.

My AOS checklist was delivered on Sep 23 before 10:00 AM and entered into system on Sep 25th. So now they are finishing not in 15 days but 13 days.

Miacarmela's one post tells that NVC entered his AOS checklist into system on Sep 20th that means he got his AOS checklist reviewed in just 13 days. I hope they continue to do so in these timelines :-).

Typically when called and asked about when they received any package then they let us know about the latest one. So I would assume the package they received (entered into system) on SEP 20 was the latest one and the one sent 2 days before was enetered into system on SEP 18. So I think the old AOS was approved for you on 15th day starting 18th SEP.

Please confirm us these dates once you come back on line. I would also suggest to add your signature like us so that everyone uses that information for guestimate.

I got for two things. 1. The mailing address for Sponsor: I put it blank. It should be N/A if the mailing address is same as present address. 2. My Total Income I put was AGI but I think they wanted to put it before any deduction.

I hope to get it accepted this time. 13th day is this Friday. 15th Day will be Tuesday unless Columbus day is a holiday. I hope to get CC next week.
