Hey everybody I got my passport on wednesdsay and husband booked the ticket fir same night so I landed here on Thursday lol! POE was smooth although there was a v long waiting at the airport Cuz of chirstmas I guess people must be off. These 5 6 days here have been like a dream and long last won battle in the end. I just wanted to tell u all that I love u and I m one of the people who had tgr worst luck in this process and there were times when I thought we wont be able to make it. But we did. And it was all worth it. It strengthened us in our relationship and taught us how to cherish each moment of life and each other!I hope none of u have to go thru what we went thru Cuz no one deserves this. Soloenta sweetheart sorry for being so lost but u r still in my thoughts. Didn't get a chance to read the thread since last Wed. Hoping u might have the interview date

My status changed to issued guys!!! Finally after exactly 15 days!! And one week exactly from AOS submission! Waiting to pick up the passport now!

Yes soloenta. Finally it's over!!! they said that it can take upto a week but I m sure I will get in a couple days inshAllah. Christmas I don't think so but New Years inshAllah I m feeling relieved now. And I m praying u get ur interview date ASAP!!! This week maybe inshAllah!!!

Our status was updated on friday so I really thought they will issue today but nothing uptil now. It they don't issue it till Tomm then Christmas gone without hubby. All because if NVC fault. This is so wrong

I can't believe NVC did that to you, after all the time you took to get the packet perfect and for them to review it, they just forget to send it?? Unreal! I know sometimes mistakes are made, but these are people's lives here, not some commodity we're unsatisfied with and want to return it.

Hi VJ friends, just checking in. We have finally booked our flights and our POE will be LAX on 22nd Jan. Now, we have 6 weeks to pack up and get ready to leave Australia.

Wishing you all the very best as you get through this lengthy process. I promise it will all be worth it and it will happen eventually. We started this journey 18 months ago thinking it would take 6 months, so there have been some difficult times as our life has been on hold. It all seems like a distant memory now that we can start the next chapter of our life.

Just checked in back to see if soloenta has a cc. I hope u get it today or Tomm soloenta iA. I sent the AOS today finally. It will reach the embassy on Tuesday. Praying that now they don't find anythbig wrong with it and approve it. Me and my husband are frustrated beyond words

I don't think consulate will thoroughly check for its completeness.. I assume they don't because I have committed some mistake like I am a citizen and I always put my alien number in there also (only need to list if you are a PR). I think for your case its not a mistake both can be applied.. just don't use whiteout.. just submit as it is with your joint sponsors passport copy

But I called Nvc and they told me that checking both boxes is counted as an error and that Nvc does accept forms with white out. God I m so confused what have I done

See your brilliant, so happy you called NVC and even more that they helped you out. Once you get Saylin's response you can make a good decision. Did you check if you can print the page out at another place?

Yeah my brother isn't helping me out he said that would be wrong and u would never find exact page quality with exact ink print. So it would be a much better option to white it out according to him. And since Nvc said it's ok I don't think it will be problem inshAllah. But still let's see what saylin says. Uptil then I will continue my printer hunt lol

Not doomed there must be an internet cafe close to you that has a standard printer try there if that doesn't work go to another one. Any family members have a printer how about where you used to work? Call find out if you can use it for just one page. Come on girl your at the oven door don't quit now!

Ok good you didn't use Whiteout yet and I wont be able to sleep so let me know what she says. I'll say a prayer.

Just called Nvc. First complained of the stress and money that their mistake caused us. She agreed that we didn't mail them joint sponsor and was surprised they didn't reach embassy. She recommended to email nvcinquiry about the mistake and she will look into it. Then I asked about this qs 11 mistake. She said marking them both will be counted as error but it's upto me of I want to white out. And that Nvc does accept documents which have a white out on them. So I m a bit relieved. Waiting for saylin's response now

OK so far I found that you can strike the mistake meaning put a line through it so they know it's a mistake but still can see what the mistake was. I'll keep looking.

If you already used whiteout you can remove it gently with a sharp knife or exacto knife etc then strike it through as above.

I thought of this but forgot to post it, hoping it's not one that signature is on.

No soloenta I haven't used whiteout yet. I have PMed saylin let's see what she says. It might not be a big deal cuz technically all US citizens are US nationals but not vice versa. So both boxes are technically correct. Praying that saylin tells me a way out.

Here are my thought abot it: is this mistake on the page she signed up? If no, you can print a new page only wih the mistake, correct this page with a very similar ink and handwritte and then just change this page from the form.

I already tried that. Problem is my printer page is a4 size and the one that husband sent from his sister is a bit smaller. Also the ink looks different when printed. So it will be obvious that the page is changed. What if they think it's some kind of fraud then. God I m doomed

Soloenta I made a huge mistake and I m totally freaking out. I just recieved my joint sponsor's package who is my sister in law and she had told me to review and make any changes if needed before forwarding. So in part 11a she had ticked 'I m US citizen' but 11b said 'I m a US national (only for joint sponsors) I thought she had made a mistake and I ticked 11b as well. Now I realized it's wrong and she is citizen. If I can't use whito then I don't know what to do. Both 11a and 11b are checked. I m on the verge of tears and can't breathe
