Trust me even coming from the same culture is still difficult with what everyone else think also. I was born in the US but from Cuban parents and my fiance was born in cuba he is the beneficiary. through all this I have seen all the mixed emotions from everyone but my true friends have stuck through it with me. Some people think I'm crazy lol but I dont care. I know what I have with my fiance and it is a wonderfull two year relationship and we have survived the journey that is not easy on anyone. Enjoy your journey with your fiancé and dont look back. America is a wonderful place to live!!!! good luck on your journey

I-94 is the arrival/ departure record. He needs to print I-94 from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html. I-94 is also one of the document he needs to submit with I-485, I-765, I-131.
ok so I-94 is submited after he arrives?
ok so I-94 is printed after he arrives?
-
ok so basically our best bet is to get married as soon as possible and apply for the AOS. What is the I-94?
-
ok so he cant apply for I765 in the mean time to be able to work or does he have to apply for the AOS and wait till that goes through

Need help here. Do I have to do any other form before he enters the US? My fiance has already a job lined up and would like to start work ASAP after entering the US. first of all I know he needs a social security number. How soon after his entry can he apply and also is it wise to apply for I-765 to get his work permit in the mean time while he applies for his adjustment of status. I have no clue as to what is best to do after he enters the US. Also can he apply for a drivers license. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Liz&Ivan Congrats for your update!!! you was in AP after your interview? and can I ask to you why you call NVC and not Consulate or Embassy to know your visa status? Thank you!!
Hi i contacted NVC cause they have up to date information on your case. In cuba its impossible to reach a human that you can talk to. Its all recordings.

Yaayy visa status reads READY called NVC and they said the visa was approved it has been 86 long days
-

The electronic form is the ds-160 that is the one we took to our interview. It does let you mark that you were not able to download photo. As far as all other documents you need to bring they are listed on the website and also dont forget your two years of taxes and the affidavit of support
-
Anyone with recent interview in Cuba for K1 did you submit any paper work to NVC? when appreved or is it
true that police clearance, Birth Certificate, certificado de solteria, medical, I-134 and all evidence are presented
the day of the interview. Please advise of any other forms that need to be filled out . I know DS-260 Electronic application
also did anyone have problems uploading fiance picture.
Thanks
Yes all those documents you take the day of the interview. for the electronic application you can take a passport style photo with it . I couldnt download it and it will tell you that you can take the passport picture. you do not send anything to NVC

How intensely frustrating that is to have to get to that point and still have to keep waiting, hang in there and hopefully you will get some good news soon. Just curious...are you Cuban-American?
It is the most frustrating thing i have ever gone through. Yes I was born in miami and my parents are from Havana

Finally i got a respond from the havana interest section on the AP. Al they had to say was that they were still revising the case and they were sorry for the prolonged time they are taking but some cases need to go through extra checks before the adjudicate a visa. We have been in AP for 77 days now. The case status date changed on June 3 the same day and minutes apart from receiving the email so i guess the date changes everytime they go into the computer to check the case. We are still in AP. I also got an email don my senator that i need to sign a consent form for them to investigate why its taking so long. I have sent that in this morning lets see what they come up with

We have been in AP for 75 days with a few date changes but still says AP
-
We have been in AP for 75 days and we weren't missing any documents

Interview march 19
Status date update April 10 April 12 and may 2
Still showing AP after 68 days
-
Dont stress by what i have seen on here it always goes to ready after AP to AP again for a day or so and then it goes to issued. Good luck i have been on AP for 64 days?
-
I agree with the others in order to help we need to know the red flags. Your timeline doesnt really say much other that you were put on AP and denied about a month after. I am going through AP right now and i know i had two red flags my age difference i am 12 years older than him and my divorce was finalized when we were together. We did provide more than enough evidence of a relationship of almost 2 years and i have visit him 8 times. Let us know the details. That would not only help you but others going through your experience.
-
That mean that they are working in your case.
I am in ap from march 24 and upddated date has changed 4 times but no visa yet.
At least you know why you are in ap.
I had my interview on march 18 and they dint give a 221g paper, nothing was lacking.
My interview was good. But they put me in ap
They didnt give you a 221g stating that you were being put in AP? They gave me the 221g with AP checked off. I wasnt missing any documents at all. We had more than enough evidence of a year and 8 months. Did they tell you that you were approved at the interview? We have been in AP for the same amoutn of days my interview was on March 19
-
My case was updated and moved from AP to Ready today. I am hoping that I will get the visa soon.
How long were you in AP? did they keep your passport? were you missing any documents? I have been on AP for 59 days
-
I have been on AP for 55 days now with 3 date changes last on May 2 and still no answer. The AP is a horrible situation to be in cause you are clueless on what to expect of your future. We want an answer already so we can decide on what to do next?

I got a call from embassy today and the ask me to submit my passaport. Online the status of my case changed agin today it is still AP... Is this a good sign? Or I have to worry? I submitted my passaport.
Yes its a good sign that they want your passport that is to stamp your visa by what i have seen in here it goes AP ready then issued and sonetimes it goes AP ready AP then issued. How long were you in a AP and how many times did you date change?
