It is easy to spot American online. Just watch for the rudeness. One more reason why I am not a member of an American Expat club. I do not like the comany of Americans all that much.

Most Americans have two children by 25. They frequently look at you like a "suspect" if you have no children by 40.

A little over a year is long not enough to prove you have a relationship? That is outright stupid! Somthing is "fishy" about that.

Phred got a reaction from Neonred in Married in the PH, Divorced in US, am I qualified for Fiance Visa?
This is news to me. I grew up in Arizona. It seems like everyone I knew got married on tourist, or work visas.
The USA is among the most "toothless" countries when it comes to law enforcement (just an observation). I have no experience with it selecting to favor one foreign group over another. (Usually they favor foreigners over US citizens). How is it possible that laws are mere suggestions to Mexicans, but not Filipinos?
I guess she should ask her boyfriend to obtain a certified copy of the divorce in the USA. Maybe she should go get it herself during a social visit, fill out the i129 with him, then return home and wait for the K1 application???

You are confused. We have no plans to move to the USA anytime soon. We plan to live in Singapore, and to retire in Mayanmar. I have no need to apply for a K3 or equivalent.
I am 47, and so is my fiancé. I have no children. My parents are gone. The USA has no long term future (it will go eventually go bankrupt). I will visit my brother from time to time. There is nothing I want there. My fiancé does not want to live there. She considers the USA too violent.
I am a PSTD US military veteran. I cannot cope with the high stress society in the USA. I am done with war and anything that reminds me of it. Asia is peaceful. There are lots of men like me who have retired in Asia to forget. If there is anything in this world I want to forget, it is Kuwait.
