  1. hello guys, there are several cultures in the world who eat horse meat, mostly in nomadic cultures and some europian cultures(french) and these cultures appreciate a lot horse as a animals and pets and personally i adore horses as a saint animal and i eat them too,why not..it is my culture and it is not something strange for americans and other nations who travel a lot overseas and visit horse consuming countries ..by the way my american friends tried horse meat in kazakhstan and they like it !!! we are all different and have different tastes..wish for everyone be happy eating what they like,

    best,

    Alma

  2. hello all, i got Russian police certificate through russian consulate in Almaty,Kazakhstan paying $15 after 4 months of official filing with russian embassy..it was so long stressful wait and i was scared to miss this document for the interview because they did not promise do it in time..and also we tried get russian police certificate through american lawyer in Russia, paying him $500 (waiting time is one month) in case if russian consulate wont give us police certificate..i think $500 is cheaper than travel for me to Russia from Kazakhstan(airplane tickets,hotel,food,taxi-$1.400 one trip ),i would need travel two times may be and i had nobody in russia to help me to file directly with main information center MVD(they do not accept any fax or emails, you have to file in person or have someone to file for you with power of attorney) in moscow therefore we dealt through russian consulate in kazakhstan and american lawyer(with power of attorney i sent )..this is my personal experience and it worth to pay 500 in place of 1.400

wish you all good visa journey!

    thank you for replies

    Alma :star:

  5. hello guys,

my fiance is already purchased one way tickets for me and my son to US on British Airways from Kazakhstan

do you have any idea leaving FSU country without any problems at airport ,

    alma

  6. hello BUCKEYE 1971 and BLY,

thank you all for information about this question,

my american fiance purchased one way ticket on British Airways and i am a little worry about leaving my home land(Kazakhstan), There is not AEROFLOT office here in Almaty, i know it is cheaper than most western aircompanies, British Airways head office in Almaty said to us that they do not have problems to sell me one way tickets to US, only one problem is i think is to leave Kazakhstan , seems like communistic regime still exists on airport rules..i am getting nervious guys..

BUCKEYE, my visas K-1 and K-2 show my present passport number where they are attached , US consulate also gave me two sealed packages to be present and opened by US immigration officer at port of entry

    best of luck,

    alma

  7. hello EVA MALAHOVA ,

finally i got russian police certificate through russian consulate on april,4 ..my first visit to russian consulate was on october,27 and the fees were paid on december,2 ..four full months of waiting..visiting them for ten times..so much nerves ..

i recommend you deal with russian authorities directly ,i am not sure you need police certificate for local police station or from main information center in russia

try different ways and BEST OF LUCK to you,

    alma

Thank you so much for your response, I have foreseen so much trouble, that is why I am trying to take care of it ahead of time.

    Thanks again

EVA , i do not know about requirements regarding russian police certificates for russian citizens for US consulate

as a kazakhstan citizen i was required russian police certificate issued from main information center in moscow (directly or through russian consulate in kazakhstan), US consulate in kazakhstan do not accept any local police stations certificates

    good luck ,

    alma and scott

  9. neonred hello

thank you for your information about getting police check for Kyrgyzstan,i see how it was difficult

i and Scott now trying to contact one company named HOROS in moscow ( www.horos.ru)

and other option is www.bridgewest.com (american company specialised on getting russian police certificates) so hope to choise one of them

only we are not sure about HOROS legitimate business, how reliable they are and it will be no delays

i will tell later how things are going..

best wishes to everyone here on VJ

    alma and scott

  10. glazov, applicants for K-3 or K-1 visas must provide police certificates by own self, american consulate do not care about getting police checks for their channels, US immigration authorities do backgrounds and security checks before your petition for K-3 visa get approved,i believe they do all checks based on american FBI and interpol checks and others, but they want more police information from country where your fiancee from is

if she lived only in one place in russia so you are lucky having one police certificate for a interview , visa instructions are saying that you have to gather all police certificates from all places lived in russia or exsoviet union countries since age 16

soviet union break-up in 1991 complicates some applicants paperwork gathering police certificates for american visa

i am from kazakhstan and i lived in russia during soviet times and i have difficulties to get russian police certificate through russian consulate in kazakhstan, waiting 5 months and still NO ANSWER..i do not understand that.. i am very frustrated ..i do not understand why american consulate do not help applicants to get this police information through own channels, they have so much POWER to do that..i am little person..this way seems so ineffective

so much nerves and stress dealing with burocracy things and who cares about your police certificate? only you, thats all

i am just praying to get this "piece of paper" to get approved for visa and be with my love in kentucky forever

    best ,

    alma

  11. Hello, has anyone out there ever heard of HOROS http://www.horos.ru/ ? Alma has had a lot of difficulty obtaining this police certificate from the MVD in Moscow through the Russian consulate in Kazakhstan.

This company HOROS said they could get us the police certificate in a week if we pay $350.00. To me the price would be worth it if they are legitimate. Does anyone know of them or has used their services before?

    scott
