savagechair got a reaction from alejandreska in NVC Filers - June 2014
That's such a helpful response...thank you! I can't verify ownership because I'm just a lil sole proprietor, but am including client contracts, invoices, and a letter on my letterhead. Thank you again

In part 6, items 13.a 13.b and 13.c write the exact amount that appears on your transcript or 1040 form, which I assume is 0$ because you put it as foreign income.
But in current individual annual income (part 6, items 5 and 10) write the amount you are currently earning, which has to be above 125% of the poverty level for your household. Use the bank accounts as evidence for this current income, and preferably include a document that verifies that you own the company/business (Like a business license or certificate of status)
The numbers that have to match exactly are those in items 13.a 13.b and 13.c, which have to match total income if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A) or adjusted gross income if you filed a 1040EZ
Hope that helps!

I feel for so many of you separated from your spouses. I am not, so my antsiness is more about wanting to leave his country NOW, but for hose of you separated from your spouse, I am sorry for the extra hardship you endure. To go through that and finish with your sanity in tact is no small thing!

I think every bit helps and it sounds to me you have a great source to show them so why not. Choke them with evidence how can they say no.

Our situation was more simple... spouse earns more than 125% poverty threshold so we filed the EZ form. From reading other people's experience though I'd say 100% a cover letter. The worst it will do is delay a few hours while they read it.

Sooooo
The NVC today, 19th of June, has reached cases scanned on the 20th of May
On the 13th of June, a nice woman told me that the NVC is working on the 12th of May scanned cases (on the hush hush side)
That means in 6 calendar days the NVC finished worth 8 days of scanned cases/packages
A rate of 1.3 days of scanned packages every calendar day
My case was scanned on the 2nd of June.
That means I have 12 more days of scanned packages
If they continue with the same rate
They will reach my case date in 9 days from today
Did any one get case complete lately to complete this "WILD HYPOTHESIS"
Anyway ... Lets wait and see

It took them 3 weeks to respond to the email, so I sent the email, then called them, then completed the DS-261 online. I accidentally resubmitted my DS-261 and they were showing received date as May 22nd, however they replied directly to the email and the following day invoiced my IV fee.

I emailed them all the information in the DS-261 the day I received my case #. My DS-261 was available a few days later. They replied to the email last week and the following day the IV fee was available. It certainly didn't hurt or hinder mine, and might even have shaved a few days off the process for me.
When you next call them, make sure they have both your email addresses and petitioners correct phone numbers. It will take them some time to respond to the email and you don't want to miss the AOS invoice in the meantime.

savagechair reacted to Kaylara in Approved at Interview this morning!
I just wanted to drop by and let you all know that my husband's visa was (finally!) approved this morning at the consulate in Amsterdam! Thank you everyone here who has been so helpful during this entire process!
(As an aside, sorry that I haven't been around, but me and the girls have been super busy with kid type stuff, so I've been more active on facebook than here. Miss you guys!)

I came to that conclusion over the weekend lol
It dawned on me when I clicked to the last page and then started reading backwards - it makes this thread a bit more humorous that way

Keep in mind that she is an immigration lawyer who has a vested interest in all of us getting nervous and hiring her (or another lawyer) to intercede on our behalf. She's probably one of the good ones, but still...
And the people on the phones are not the ones processing anything. Our calls may clog up the lines but that's all.
It does seem that things at NVC are going slower than they have in past years, but after what we've already been through, an extra month or so at NVC (divided up into 4 or so 1 week delays) "ain't nothin'!"
Woo hoo! Congrats to all the approvals!
Whoa! Lucky! I also got case number Monday but still can't log in! Did they just tell you that you had one? Or did they actually tell you it had been assigned that day?

I just added your info on the Oct spreadsheet.
Congressional inquiry? You can also file a service request too.
I hope you hear some good news soon.

Well, "lucky" at NVC, maybe... She waited 11 months plus for her NOA2! I suspect that someone flagged her file specifically when it got shipped to NVC.
Yes, call! Some people receive emails from NVC and some never do... You have to call to see if your file has arrived.
Then count on about 30 days after it arrives to be assigned your new case number and invoice identification number.
Wait a few days until the new month and then check out the new NVC filers thread. The April one is a gazillion pages long, so you might as well wait for the new one.

Thought I'd try my luck sooner and got through after a 25 minute wait on hold. Our case was received and scanned into the system today spoke to Gus this time, possibly the nicest man in the universe.

I think they ran out of coffee and red bull. Maybe we should all get together and collect monetary funds to keep supplying them with coffee and red bull supplies.

For people that are waiting still for an approval I hope you get it soon!! But don't get too down- my PD was 10/1 and it took 6 months and 10 days to get the approval. There were people at the end of September who were even just getting approvals recently. So I know everyone will get approved really soon!

Ambitious? I feel like October is worst case scenario I'm planning to be out there by August. If we get the paperwork right on the first try, I'm sure it will be achievable.
