  1. not even remotely possible.. csc is a service center and doesn't do 130's for over a year now

your file is going to be at san Francisco: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=76&charttype=1

if I remember correctly, the SF office is taking around 6 months now, based on the last vj member I saw out of that office and their current volume chart

Thanks much for that info! How can we transfer our case to SF office?

  2. if you can find out exactly where your petition is, you will be able to get a better understanding of your individual timeline.

it is most likely at your local office now.. the local office is where the great variables come into play

if you read through the guides already and have done a good job assembling your package, then don't worry, ask or stress about other people's rfe's .. rfe's are the exception not the rule for those of us who put together a decent package wink.png

Thank you! When we called the USCIS they told us that our local office is the NBC. Is there a possibility that our case may be transferred to CSC?

  3. My husband lives in California & has filed an I-130 petition for me. The USCIS received it last March 29, 2013. So far all our papers are complete & we are just waiting for a decision as we check our case status on their page. Its been already 5 months now & our case status is still in initial review. My friend has the same case with mine but hers only took 3 months to be approve. Why us is taking this long? Please somebody help us thanks!
