  1. That's just how long you have to activate the visa itself by travelling to the US.

When you do they will stamp the visa - which then is basically your 'green card' until the actual card arrives in the mail.

The first green card you get will be your conditional card and will show it is valid for two years.

When you remove conditions you will get a new card with a new expiry date of ten years.

Oh ok thank you so much! Now i fully understand...=)

  2. I have some questions regarding my visa. So my Visa Category is CR1 which I believe is I will have 2 years of Conditional Residence. Why on my visa it is stated that it will expire on October 10, 2014? My visa was just released this month (June) does it means my visa is just valid for 4 months??

I need your wisdom guys thanks!!

  3. My friend's visa status was in Administrative processing 6 days ago and now went to Ready. She already submitted the additional documents last week and the USEM received them last June 17. We are just worried because her case updated today with a status of Ready but the info below says: "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions."

That was the info before the Interview right? Pls enlightened us thanks!

  4. Visa status: A/P. just today done with my interview. Got 221g. Im worried. Im already approved right? I was required by the embassy to have my NBI having a.k.a "yula" because my birthcertificate was corrected from "yula" to "eula" wayback 2007. Im nit informed on this case that i need to have my nbi with a.k.a on my former incorrect name. Help :(

Yes you're approve just submit the require document. Your visa might just be delay for 1 to 2 weeks so i suggest immediately submit what they need via 2 go. God bless!

  5. She had her interview yesterday at USEM and so far the interview went well but the CO told her that she just needs to submit documents i.e:

    1) W-2 2013 of their joint sponsor's wife

2.) Form I-864A since the joint sponsor and his wife have joint annual income

They kept her passport & gave back her P4 then tell her to drop her 2GO form at the 2GO courier.

They're planning to urgently pass the needed documents this week. Will this cause her visa to be dalayed?

Do they need to be worry about something? Why did the NVC didn't see this problem before?

    Thanks guys for helping her.

  6. Hi guys I just want to share my unforgettable experienced yesterday during my interview. =) :dancing:

My schedule interview was at 6:15 am so we arrived at the embassy at 5:30 am and I was surprised to see a lot of applicants already in a long line. There are many lines outside so be sure to ask where is your proper line, I did ask a lady where is the line of the 6:15 a.m immigrant applicants and then she showed it to me and to my surprised it was one of the longest line. At 6 a.m the guard let us comes in first (all the immigrant visa line) they told us to prepare our P4 (Interview Letter) only the first page and the passport. Then they gave me a number and a form ( 2Go Shipping Form) Next stop is to put all my stuff to a scanner for an inspection and then I went to a Window 1 and a Filipino guy gave me a small zip-lock plastic and he told me to go to the Door 2.

As I was inside the door 2 there's an another inspection of my things and then after that the Filipina lady told me to find a seat and wait for my number to flash on the screen. So this is the start of the long waiting LoL. You have to keep an eye always on the screen with red numbers flashing on it though I found it quite tiring hehe. We were inside the embassy at 6:20 am and my number finally showed up at 8:30 am (after almost 2 hours) I went to window 42 and it was an American guy and he looks nice. He asked me my complete name and birthday and then told me to put my 4 left fingers on the scanner then my 4 right fingers then my left and right thumb together. After that he told me to wipe the scanner with the tissue beside it then told me that I can go back to my seat and wait for my number to be called again. Before I went back to my seat I immediately went to the Ladies Room cause I've been holding my pee for almost 2 hours LoL. Then I went back to seat and waited again, as I've been waiting I was talking to some applicants to know their experienced and killed the boredom too hehe. After an hour (9:30 a.m now) my number flashed again and I went to Window 48 and it was a Filipina lady who was strict and not so friendly. She asked me many things like how did we meet, what is the work of my husband, what is the work of our joint sponsor, how is he related to us, when did we get married, how many times did he visited me, how many times we talk everyday, how he is supporting me, then she also asked for our pictures together, she also ask me if i am working ans I told her I am already resigned last March 2014 and then she asked me what is my work then I told her I am a Teacher. Then she told me that's all and I can go back to my seat and wait for my final interview of the US consul. The Filipina staff there told us to move to the next row of chairs if we are just waiting for our final interview. So we move to the next row and finally I saw some of the American CO's. I could say that some of them looks strict though. As I was waiting for my number to flash I keep on praying that the CO that would be assign to me is kind. At around 10:20 a.m my number finally flashed! So I went to Window 59 and to my surprised the consul is an Asian! He smiled at me and greeted me Hi Ma'am. How are you today? I am not sure if he is a Korean or Chinese, but he was really so nice. Then he told me to raise my right hand and read the oath posted at right side of the window. After reading it he told me I did read it great LoL. Then he started asking me these questions:

    1. When did you get married?

    2. What is his work?

    3. How is your husband related to the joint sponsor?

    4. Did you already travel to the other country?

    5. Are you excited to go to California? (With a smile on his face)

Then he told me that's all and I can go back to my seat and wait for my number to be called.I said thank you with a big smile on my face. At around 10;40 a.m my number was called to Window 71 and the Filipino guy told me to drop my form at 2GO Courier at Window 69! After dropping it the lady at the 2GO told me that I can finally go home. I was back at the hotel at 11 a.m skyping with my love. Wow what a wonderful experienced! Among the many documents we prepared, they didn't even ask for it (only some pictures by the Filipina lady though) My advice is just to prepare everything! Better to be ready than not.

Thank God for everything and for His goodness and faithfulness! To GOD be all the glory!! God bless everyone.

  7. I don't think I was mean, I think I was direct. Of course I hope it works out for the OP, particularly since it isn't her fault her husband is messing up and being lax. I do find it absolutely flabbergasting that anyone who, you know, wants to be with their spouse would just shrug and hope the mail will land in time for their spouse's interview. When I think of my obsession with planning, detail, over-documenting, and timing so I could be with my wife and son....

We did argue about this many times & I did blame him for not listening to me. But for now all we need to do is find a solution cause there's no point in blaming him since its already done. We're just praying that everything will be ok by God's grace.

He can't send a new set of documents. The joint sponsor is on vacation in Hawaii and will not be back until after the interview is past. Let's try to be a little more feeling for the OP. Sure anyone can make a mistake but why be so mean about it? Good luck to the original poster. I hope it all works out for you guys in the end. God Bless

    Thank you so much.

  9. If he has a photocopy of them, ask him to scan it and email it to you. Print it out and use it as a backup until/if the documents he sent you arrive.

I hope he kept photocopies of the ammendments.

    Sorry, i didn't read your post. I concur 100%.

Nah he didn't even photocopy them =(

Yeah he did print the papers again and fill them out then he scanned them and send them to me. The problem is our joint sponsor is having his vacation in Hawaii. He'll be back on the 10th of June. =(

    Sorry, i didn't read your post. I concur 100%.

There's no tracking number cause what my hubby did is just an standard mail.

Show up to the interview and tell them what happened. You won't be approved there and then. They'll place you ob AP until they receive the required info and get in reviewed.

Bringing the doc to the interview won't necessarily give you an instant approval as they might still need to review it.

    Good luck!

    Thank you.

    You're welcome.

Yes, be honest if/when asked about the issue(s)

Best wishes with the interview. Keep us posted as to the outcome.

    Yes I will, thank you.
