Once again, i cannot express my thanks to you for helping me on how to keep calm and get into action instead of just waiting for it. And this has been an awesome week as the bills i had from the birth of my child have been written off due to charity and today i got the USCIS letter with the appointment. The notice date:09/24/2016 and was scheduled for 10/13/2016

Any updates everyone? To those who submitted a service request via phone call, did you get any email confirmation from USCIS after the request was submitted?
No letter yet, but did received an email with the service request.

Thank you to everyone. So today I decided to call USCIS again and spoke with customer service asked for him to submit a service request about my case. And hopefully now things will go smoothly (cross fingers).
Once again, thank you for everyone's support and advise.

Just got the call back from USCIS officer. really not informative at all and sounded very annoyed with the questions i was making him.
First he placed me on hold because of the receipt number on my I-797 NOA apparently was incorrect or/ when they create/receive Form CRI-89 they create a new one receipt number and i will have to use the new number if i want to see my case at my case status on USCIS web or when i call them.
Then i asked him how was my biometrics interview? Second long hold for him to comeback and say still waiting for it to be scheduled. Asked why was it taking that long if there was any problem (note: i was very cordial and at any p[oint was rude or raised my voice), now in a very pissed voice the answer was you will just have to wait for it to be scheduled. and did tried to get more answers but he was annoyingly stating i'll just need to wait for the letter i'll receive with the scheduled appointment.
Really feeling depressed (just had my son by the way and all this stress is not helping, not to mention sleepless nights due to a newborn)

Called USCUS today. Customer service rep freaked out when she realized that I have been waiting for more than 30 days for bio-metrics. Automatically transferred me to tier 2 officer, but the waiting time was more than 100 min there for had to schedule an appointment. hope they call me today

Well, I am almost 40 weeks pregnant, going crazy because my biometrics letter hasn't arrived yet. My husband just says don't worry about it, just think about the baby. But all this delay makes me nervous

I have a question though early to ask. Just want to clarify when my husband and I should start our file for removing condition after receiving our CR1 visa. If i get CR1 this month then should i apply 90days before my 2nd marriage anniversary which is May,2017 or before end of 2years of receiving CR1 i.e in 2018.

So, as I suspected there is a reason why our check was not cashed. We had the whole package returned, because my husband, who only had to sign the form and mail it ... wait for it ... forgot to sign the form. Sigh. This is probably the most ridiculous hassle and oversight. He overnighted the package again tonight (I am not at home at the moment), and it should be there tomorrow. I can't believe I am now one of those people that forget to sign their forms (well, technically at least it was NOT me). I guess technically this means I am now out of this thread and into the August filers. Please do remove me from your tracking page, best of luck to all of us!! I will continue to check your progress as I am anxiously hope to have the form accepted this second time around

that was actually one of my concerns, get the all package returned to us. My husband was mad at me for micromanaging everything, to the point of making him sign everything in front of me and create an exact replica of every document we send including making him go look to bank acct everyday after we mailed it to make sure the check was cashed.Best of luck for you.

I was wrong calculating 90 days. I thought before 3months of GC anniversary . I mailed my I-751 on 26th but my eligibility date is 29th July. Thanks to USPS for updating my scheduled delivery date to 30th July.

I'm new to this forum. hope i can get viable information regarding my case
Actually my brother applied for my parents for an immigration. He is currently in USA. My parents live in Pakistan.
Their preference category is IR-5
and the priority date is 20March2013
As per NVC's email the case was completed on 24 May 2014 . We sent all the documents (civil) needed for their review before an interview.
It says (on the website) that it takes 6-7 working days for NVC to review the documents and schedule an interview.
Its been more than 40 days now.
Do you guys have any idea how much time does it take for an interview to be scheduled? i emailed them as well as called them. They put you on hold for hours and do not reply to any email.
Help required here!!

Right now, they have a long backlog so it is only natural that it will take a longer time, i believe i read they are saying up till 60 working days to review cases now.

Checked CEAC for status and after 5 business days, it has changed to Administrative Processing. Let's see how long it stays here now.
Oh myyy, my status shows "ISSUED", I can't believe it!!!! I will check again later if it stays like this, I feel like it's another glitch and it's not really issued...

I was trying to stay optimistic but I can't anymore. I am utterly sad, our status is still at this stupid "ready" and was updated 2 days ago, nothing changed today. I am just stupidly waiting all alone for this visa. It's been one year and 3 months, I am fed up of this. Last night I hurt my toe, it was bleeding and because usually my husband takes care of these things (I'm passing out too easily when I see blood), I cried like a little girl. Being far from him sucks, being stuck away from him because of backlogs and glitches is not fair.
I'll send an email to the embassy tonight, I want to know at least if they are able to issue some visas or none at all. This waiting is depressing. When I go to sleep my husband is still at work so I can't hear his voice. When I wake up he is asleep and I can't hear him telling me "bonjour". I am just disgusted by the whole process. Thanks for letting me vent. And thanks for your updates, I feel less alone when I read the posts on this forum.
I feel for you, even though "We dodge the bullet" the expression my husband has used to describe how lucky we were, I come here almost everyday to see and help in what I can.
And I wish I could help on you guys getting your visas! (I feel survivors guilt)

In Portugal the medicals are 250€ aprox 336$.

Did they ask you for the petitioner's birth certificate?if so it's a photocopy ok or has to be original?
They do, and at my interview they ended no taking it, because there was a copy on the file they own, but you should take at least a certified copy.
