  1. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum. I sent my AOS packet the first week of september and it was rejected because I didn't specify under which category I was applying, and I sent it back with corrections and I got the txt and emals on sept 29th. On oct 15th I had my biometrics taken and all until now I havent heard anything back yet. For all I know people by now would've gotten a RFE or something but I am just hanging in the air and it is kinda driving me crazy. I also submitted a form I-765 for work authorization and I'd like to know if the time frame is still good for this. My husbands I-130 i still under nitial review as well as the I-765 and the I-485 is under acceptance. I am married to a US born citizen.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, my husband is also in the US Army but when we sent the AOS he was working at allstate. IS there anything that I can do to update his status?

    Thanks!!

  2. Hey, I came to the states on a F-1 visa as well. My husband and I got married in June and we filed the AOS by the end of september. I recommend not going back to your country after married cause you may not be able to return. I was really dumb and went home for two weeks without husband and I almost didnt make it through the airport! SO just send you papers after you get married (I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-765 and I-130) I know I know its a lot of forms! take your time! If your boyfriend/fiance is a USC you can send your papers as soon as you have them all ready, (no priority date to follow) After your submit your papers you will receive your receipt and that will be now your "permission to be in the country". I have a 5 year student visa but if you drop out of school you'd lose your I-20 so this receipt from the USCIS would be your new pending status. I can walk you throught the process its hard but definetely worth it!

    Good Luck!

  3. YES! I am married to a US Army Active duty PV and I just came back from the ID place and I got my ID card with the insurance and all benefits. You will have to renew it periodically every 90 days until you get your PR Status. After you're married he will need to process you or send you the papers so you can go to the closest DEERS/ID Place to get yours.

  4. Its been quite a while since I filed the concurrent AOS. I was so pissed today and I called the USCIS Helpline (hell-line) it took 4 hours on hold to get transferred. Anyway, I spoke to a really nice Latino Lady and she typed up all my husbands and my information and She said - "Oh I see whats going on, your husbands I-130 has been rejected" #######? However, they gave me a eceipt # foe my I-485 and it starts with a MSC..

    What to do?

  5. What do I need to do to expedite my case? My husband is military personnel. Is there any special form? And also, when the interview time comes, he most likely won't be able to make it cause he will be in training; is that going to be an issue?!

Experience on this topic will be greatly appreciated.

  6. My mom was denied her visa whe we applied for her to come two my wedding. They want it to be formal. Our mothers have way too strong bonds in the US and the agents can't allow for them to even have the chance to stay. I have a long way until I can petition her. Only thing left to do I have faith and wait.
