  1. Hi,

I had my interview two months back and told officer that i have moved to Dallas. I passed interview and Officer mentioned that he will transfer my case to local office for oath ceremony, but its been two months now and i have not heard from USCIS. Should i call USCIS, what number to contact?  If anyone gone through this process, please let me know how this process goes. Thanks for your help :)

  2. Hi,

So i was living in my parents home when i applied for N400. Now i am moving to different state. But i am expecting my interview to be in next two or three months. Should i change my address to new state or give interview in the same state where i applied. Can that be a problem that i am living in one state and just came back for interview.

    Thanks

  3. Hi Guys,

So i submitted N400 yesterday before fees goes up. I think all goes well but now realizing i didn't put one date properly. How can i see what application i submitted (i didn't print N400 at completion. At that time thought i will be receiving email of the form what i am submitting)? Also wanted to  make sure documents attached properly as other VJ mentioning about attachment problem?

And i am seeing case completion date January 2021? i guess USCIS system is not accurate on this (no high hopes)? Please advice

    Thanks

  4. Hi Member,

So i am filing N400 :) , fulfills the residency requirement of five years.

I have made multiple trips out of country but there are two trips which i took in one year both around 5 1/2 months long back to back (between these trips just came to usa for 10 days). Is this is a problem to meet continuous residency requirement? My understanding is you cannot stay out of country more than six months, if under six months then its good. These trips i made first year as i have to take care of some stuff back home. Please advice thanks :)

  5. Hi All,

So i am filing N400 as i fullfill the residency requirement, the problem is in last five years i have change so many addresses because of work between different states. I have regularly updated the USCIS website, now for some reason my email deleted and all confirmation emails are also deleted. A fellow member mentioned about https://www.uscis.gov/records/request-records-through-the-freedom-of-information-act-or-privacy-act and i requested for the alien file yesterday but today i get to know it will take up to 20 days to reply from USCIS or more and i wanted to file before oct 2 before N400 fees increase.

My question is if i provided tentative dates on N400, last three years i know exact dates only for first two years a little tough. Is that OK? Please share your experience &  advice
    thanks  :)

  6. Hi All,

Can you please guide me on this, that will be a great help. :)

I am thinking to apply for N400 as i have full-fill 5 year residency requirement, as arrived in US on Dec 15, 2015. During this time I lived in multiple states and on different addresses. I have regularly update USCIS website about change of address and received confirmation email. For some reason my personal email get deleted all emails and all USCIS change of address emails are also deleted.I can guess the dates but i don't want to mismatch from USCIS record. Is there is a way i can get to know from USCIS about my addresses details.

    Thanks

  10. Hi,

I married to USC, seven years ago, came to usa in dec 2015. Last year, my wife took restraining order against me and we stayed away from each other for one year as we both need some time. Now we are together but still living in different state. I find work in different state and she is completing her school in different state, but now we are seeing each other regularly and planning to move together once her school finish.

Last year i didnt apply as we are not seeing each other and also restraining order but now we are seeing each other, i am supporting her financially, everything is healthy for married life.  Can i apply for citizenship now under three year rule? Please advice.

    Thanks

  11. Hi All,

Please advice. Thank you for your help. :)

    Background:

I was here on spouse permanent green card and right before one month of applying N400, my wife and i had a argument and she called police for domestic violence. Police came and found nothing and advice us to stay calm and left (no arrest). Later my wife left with our two kids and took restraining order. (Which at that time i didnt know what this mean and exist :( ). I was devastated as i loved her and we lived six years together. I tried to talk her lawyer to have us meet so i can discuss with her. but my wife never gave me chance. We appeared in the court and my wife crafted some story that i do domestic violence that i pulled her hair blah blah. I told my lawyer to get restraining order with no consent and judge order restraining order of one year with no purchase of firearm restriction. Court order that i can contact my wife only through text message or email when i have to go and pick my kids. I have no family and close friends here at that time and people back home even doesn't understand what this case is all about. Any way i stayed in that state for next three months. the people around me advice me not to contact my wife at all because if i go her home  and pick my kids, she may say that I violated restraining order and get me arrested. I scared and never contacted her.  I filed case in court for child visitation so atleast i can meet with my kids, but never heard back from court and later i have to move out of state. Now i am in different State. Never contacted them at all (I always wonder how my kids doing just saw couple of pics through facebook)

    Current Situation:

I never violated any law, always taking care of my family. In our marriage i never let my wife do any job as she was helping with kids and i was happy about it.

---Now i need to travel out of country as my mom is sick and i need to visit her. My restraining order will expire in 45 days. Can i reenter USA without any trouble as i foolishly took no consent restraining order. I should have fight in the court. (the case never go in criminal court, restraining order from civil court)

--- As i am in no contact with my wife.I never contact her through text message because she blocked me so i was not able to give her money for child raising. At the time of temporary restraining order i tried to pay her credit card bill and she cancelled the transaction. So in this time period she didn't take any money from me. What consequences this can be for me in future.

---I never filed divorce and she also didnt file, because we both were in love very much so never find courage to go that route. Now thinking to go for divorce?

--- how to meet with my kids and support them?

Please advice what should i do?

    will appreciate your response. Thanks

  12. Hi,

I am thinking to file n400 3 months before three year of green card anniversary. At this time of filing I have stay in usa for 16 months but by the time of interview I will stayed for usa for  19 months.

What u think I wait two months to get 18 months of physical presence requirment then file application  or I can file at 16 months cause out of 33months I have stayed 16 months and uptil interview  i will be inthe usa for 19months.

    Thanks.
