Thanks, I am very happy that I got approved before retro. was very scared after first interview.

Finally my wife got approved for visa today. Her initial interview was on May 13, and CO has said they needed more time to review documents.

During first time Co asked only general questions, and there were two concerns.

1) My 2012 IRS transcript has two my first names instead of first and last. I guess it was my mistake when filling out my 2012 transcript.

2) second issue which Co seemed not to understand was the fact that my wedding date was earlier than marriage registration. it was due to the fact that according to Uzbekistani laws we needed to apply for registration 1 month before getting married, and i went to my country only for one months so, we went on with wedding as soon as i went there and registered right before i left.

During 2nd time of interview, which was today no questions were asked.

Hi, I know there have been similar topics, but question is when you have administrative processing do you need to reschedule interview or no need?

Basically during interview, my wife asked about her prior visa denial and my tax returns and at the end consul said that he didn't have time to review all documents, and that they would contact my wife after 3-4 days. they did not ask for any other additional documents.

I really hope everything will be resolved before June retrogress

it doesn't influence you. you already got a visa. As for visa I think you should be good as long as you enter US before visa expires.

if it retrogresses in the second half of the year, i wouldn't expect a lot movement during 2014.

Does anybody know how they calculate demand. i.e. the reason for retrogression was high demand. do you they mean new applicants after Sep 8, 2013? if so why retrogression is needed? if they mean people applied prior to Sept 8, 2013 than why to retrogress only now, most of the people already got visas.

May 2014 Bulletin is out.

For F2A it is unmoved. It has been 6 months that single date has been moved. I hope retrogression is not seen in coming months.

I don't think they would've scheduled interviews if they were expecting retro on May. now the question is when to expect retro June or July. Hope it is later.

Question what happens if you get G221 and don't obtain visa in May and in June there is retro?

Despite no forward movement of the cut-off date, the level of demand has continued to increase dramatically. At the current rate, such demand will require a retrogression of the F2A cut-off date within the next several months. That action would be necessary to hold number use within the annual numerical limit." i would say June or July we can see retrogression

by the end of this week May visa bulletin will be published. it might clear up whether to expect retro or not. Hope not.

My wife has SS#. Is asking for extension an option?

I did file for extension, but now thinking maybe i should file married filing separately than change it, once my wife comes.

But in this thread, SVL is also having same CC date as mine and embassy is also same. Her interview,is already scheduled. From where you find cut off date of 19? Can u plz tell the source?

there is no official source, but through forums if you look you will see. look at mine as well CC feb 21 and got IL only in april, others who got CC before feb 19 got their IL in the beginning of March.

i see your case was completed march 26, which is after the cut off date of 19, so probably you will receive IL end of April or beginning of May, with interview date in June.

Well, she doesn't have social nor ITIN so can't file married. if I file single, won't it create additional issues?

Does anybody know if 2013 tax return is needed for interview? Interview is set for May 13, 2014.My prior income is above the poverty line so is 2013. I did not file my tax return for 2013 yet but instead filed extension. I was wondering if I should just file a tax return. I don't want to prolong visa any further, but also want that tax back as married filing jointly.

yay i called and guy said they just scheduled interview for my case. it is may 13 at 8a.m. and i should receive email within 5 business days

ahh that sucks, as soon as we get IL i was going to call embassy and reschedule to earlier date, i guess that is not going to happen.
