Please read first two posts here : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/478133-nvc-filers-february-2014/
In most cases it is taking 2 weeks to get to the NVC. Total NVC process can take anywhere from 3-5 months.

Yes your spouse from US can send the IV package to NVC. You don't need to sign anything.

Really? I thought 'certified copies' meant copies issued by the same issuing authority as the originals. Not a notarized copy.
You are right. as for india you can get the "true copy" from the issuing authority its not as hard as getting original.

Hi everyone, I am a german citizen about to marry my american fiance. We have been preparing I-130 and I-485 and of course ran into some questions. I want this process to be as smooth as possible and therefore don't give the Immigration office any doubts. For evidence we included: - Approx 50 pictures of us, touring through Europe, Engagement pictures from Prague, Cambodian enagement ceremony with all our family members (My fiance is Asian) and then just pictures of going out and day-to-day situations - We have three Affadavits from friends and family, including pictures with them at our engagement party - My fiance is under my health insurance - She is the beneficiary listed in my life insurance - We have a joint bank account I was wondering if this is enough evidence or do we need more? Any advice is highly appreciated! Thank you for the help! Marcel
more than enough

Can some of the Indian VJ members who have submitted the IV package to NVC advise me whether it is a good idea to send the original Birth Certificate of the beneficiary to NVC? It is mighty hard to get another 'original' birth certificate from the corporation in Kolkata in case the original sent to NVC is lost.
Can we send a copy attested by a Gazetted Officer or Notary Public in India and carry the original Birth Certificate to the interview?
You can send the certified copy.

Please read post 2. There's an exact question/answer about this...
So i guess they review DS-260 first and then IV documents? I thought they are both part of the same package. correct me if I am wrong. Thank You

I just received a checklist:
______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________
The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.
is this a false checklist? we have already submitted our IV documents
