not really. it specifically says on the application that checking NO does NOT necessary mean you get immediately denied. you need to explain yourself, which i did in my extra paper attached to the application. I am fairly confident that my point would have been brought across and that i would have been approved, or at least given my interview to explain myself more clearly.

There are many that have dual or more Nationalities!! Just keep in mind the USA will only see you as a USA citizen. So when you enter the USA from another country, you have to provide ur USA passport

The choice is, ultimately, your own. This is something many Canadians have had to deal with, including me. I disliked some of the words of the US Oath of Allegiance - not because I was any less committed to fulfilling my obligations as a US citizen - but because I do not see a conflict in having citizenship in both countries. I am choosing to add the US citizenship to who I am, not taking away my Canadian citizenship from who I am. This, in its very essence, defines the major difference between the two countries: for the US everything is black and white - either/or - for us or agin' us, win-lose; in Canada we understand that there are varying degrees of gray, that you give a little and take a little, and that things don't have to be win-lose - they can be win-win instead.

If you want US citizenship you need to answer yes to that question. Only you can decide if you are able to honour two masters - the US and Canada.

so even though during the Naturalization ceremony you renounce other citizenships, in the case of Canada, one does NOT!! Quite simply the USA sees you just as a USA citizen. Canada sees you as a Cdn and USA citizen!!

the question is will you retain your Canadian citizenship... so it is not a US citizen question per se, but one specific to your Canadian citizenship...

i sort of disagree. the answers i get from people help me finish filling out my citizenship papers-- any person wishing to retain their original citizenship (that is allowed) would technically be able to answer this question. I wont be mailing the papers off until im confident in my yes/no answer.

However ive phrased my original post a bit oddly. If had a rough day of paperwork and my brain is not working quite right at the moment.

hey all, it has been forever since i have been here, but in filling out my naturalization papers, ive come across a question.

I want to retain my Canadian citizenship. I know the oath specifically states you renounce your connections to any other country.

On the form, there are 2 questions.

Part 10 , section H

Q35 says "do you understand the full oath of allegiance of the united states." I checked Yes.

Q36 is "are you willing to take the full oath of allegiance of the united states" I've checked No.

on my extra paper, i have written something to the tune of "I want to have dual citizenship and do not want to give up my Canadian Citizenship. i do not wish to say ' i absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegience ... yadda yadda yadda. "

im wondering if this is necessary at all.

are there any other Canadians here that have successfully filed for American citizenship getting dual, while checking Yes in that box?

is checking No ok as long as i say it is because i want dual citizenship?

i still play with my husband, but not on that server. i still log on now and then inthe VJ guild to do stuff but most guildies havent been on in 6+ months

i leveled to 80 super fast so i could raid, then we killed all the bosses before the Tuesday after the xpac hit :\ im pretty sad with raiding so far so i havent logged in in 3 weeks.

they made the game much more fun for casual players ( most here) but it pretty much blows for ppl that played for content

ah well i got a puppy 2 days ago so im too busy at the moment to be addicted! after potty training maybe ill be back again!

what server did you end up rolling on, and im guessing you rolled alliance?

ill confirm when i get my mail. heh i sorta wanted an interview so brian would know that all of my whining and hounding to get the papers and photocopies and notaries right mattered.... all of my packets through all phases were JAMMED packed of info they requested. was actually very worried witht he last official one since i didnt include any tax info and nearly all of our bank accounts are soley in brians name... as are all the bills. i just turned in as much info that had my name included as i could.

i guess i should just shut up and be thankful, i had it a hell of alot easier than most on VJ -- from K1 through 10 year processing. All of my one (the montreal k1) 'interviews' consisted of "sign here" my responses were 'sure' and 'can i have your cheese string?' (best montreal interviewing officer ever btw)

only reason im confused is because with all other case status info ive gotten it has said something to the effect of "case status approved" then again with all my other applications, the site never updated properly,or at all.... i usually got things in the mail before i got any email if i got one. im just wondering if this is a very delayed temporary 1 year card to replace the "we've received your application" notice we got back in december

anyhow if any of you got a case status up date like this or simliar to this, please feel free to let me know if this was indeed an approval or a temp card. WO interview.

im sure the card will appear in the mail in the next couple of days and that can confirm if for me, but im still curious!

Bagon is working fine for me. I just like how I can see which of my alts has whatever I need and of course having everything in one bag always helps.

awesome ill take a look at it again, i REALLY liked the mouse over that told you where things were and how many, and when it broke, that was what broke, which was why i tossed it. ill be super happy to have that function again!

light headed is very nice if you dont feel like alt tabbing to read wow head. if you get the addon " tomtom" to use with it , you get the ability to put way points on your map and minimap, which is helpful, especially if you are not familiar with alliance/ horde ( whichever you are re rolling)

i had a question: does "bagnon" work agian? i know it was majorly broken with a patch some time in like august so i gave up and switched to "one bag" i loved bagnon tho..... there was some european that took over bagnon after it broke but i just found it too buggy and gave up, that was months ago tho if its fixed i may go back!

there is also 'oneview' 'onebank'. those let you see your bank and any bank on any character on any server as well as their regular bags. horde and alliance.

mods i have/have had are (enable varies by class)

-Onebag, onebank oneview

-tomtom, lightheaded for new alts

-Fubar (sort of like titan panel)

any fubar addon i want, ( durability, dps, clock, bag, killmeter, money, performance and clock) there are hundreds available

-improved camera - which allows you to zoom out further than normal. you can also make this with out an addon by changing some settings in the wow folders, its nice for classes that are ranged and want to see more, or if you just like being really zoomed out.

-chatMOD - a chat mod that colours your text, making player names be the colour fo the class, changing channel names, showing levels, clicking link ability, clicking invite ability etc.

-eCastingBar - bars you can customize for casting for yourself, party, target, focus etc

-bartender3 - (ace2addon) customizable bars that are very simple to maneuver and build. ( i like 'bongos' as well but had bug issues after a patch so i changed. but bongos is VERY user friendly)

-Omen - for threat in raids/instances. get a mod like that if you plane to so any 5 mans etc your group will love you. also nice for pet classes when solo

-oRA2-( main tank targets/assists) as well again thats only useful in instances, most likely 25 or 40 mans.

-OmniCC - numeric cooldown counter for buttons

-SimpleMinimap - to change the shape and postiion of my minimap

-Ash_DoTimer - dot timer mod for dot classes locks/ boomkins etc

-Itemrack- makes gear sets etc to quickly swap things, nice for classes that change rolls, like druids/tanks or for resists sets.

-Perl unit frames- change your frames, there is also Xperl, i ust use regular perl tho.

-kharthus's Hunter timers - gives timers for all hunter abilitys, including an auto shot timer so you can maximize your dps.

-simpleMD- very small great working addon that just alerts group members that your misdirect has been cast or is about to be ready.

last but not least, horde only addon

-Preform AV Enabler , allows you to Q AV as a group apparently only works horde side. My server is very big on premade avs, especially on honor weekends and if you have a horde alt there, check it out.

out of all of that junk, i really only use on all accounts, the bar mod minimap mod and unitframe mod to change how things look. then the rest of the addons vary by class. once you know the leveling route, the wowhead plugin really isnt necessary, and i recommend removing and not activating any addons unless you need them, it does slow performance and makes load times a lot more lagged. raiding characters also have deadlyBossMods installed

nice healing mods are "pallypower" for paladins ( buff mod) and "clique" and "grid" are healing mods that are incredibly simple to use and make healing large groups amazingly easy.

going grocery shopping, but i can find safe installs and make links later . most of my addons are from curse or from files.wowace.com

hey all, i told brian/Ippon to log on and hand guild leadership over to Pyoria. that way you guys who are very active can manage all you need to and buy guild tabs etc if you like.

he logged on last night but sadly didnt see anyone else on to hand the leadership to. ill get him to do it again today , im sure he will eventually catch pyroia on!

we will still be playing and leveling but since you guys obviously can play more frequently, it makes more sense!

oh for all the above level 62 hunters in the guild.... did you enjoy the break that the patch tuesday did? they hot fixed it this morning sadly but it was litterally nuts in arena. you could kill 12 ish people in about 7 seconds depending on your gear.

they changed shots accidentally and made it so if you timed things right you could instantly fire 2 aimed shots 2 multis, 2 steadys and the 6 autos to go with.... arenas were getting blown up.

pretty sure the train is Via Rail and has regular routes to montreal

youd need to look at its stations and see where you could get to your hotel/ pick up / drop off/ taxis etc...

montreal isnt to hard to navigate, dont get too scared

im sure via has a site you can peek at for tickets and times and where stations are

Bashing the entire US because you don't like the brands of food where you live (and i'm sure you have options) or because the water in your town is gross is just silly.

my reasons to move here were

1 it was faster than the alternative

2 it was cheaper than the alternative

3 brian would make more cash working down here in computers rather than in canada, and i intend to stay home and raise my kids when we start a family. last but not least

4 brian is an only child of an only child. i was considerate of his mother. brian has said hed rather live in Toronto.

i noticed the foods are different and mentioned the differences. those things arent why i dislike the states

as for a water sofenter-- awesome idea-- i do intend to have one installed when i build- right now we rent. Brians family has one , their water is slightly better but even they said when they moved here it took over 7 years to get them to stop itching each time they showered and now to prevent it they only shower every other day. they moved to OH from CT . i also intend to drink from the taps when visiting homes and models in areas we intend to build in so i can sample the goods, and hope it will be decent. ive run frequent cycles of vinegar in the dishwasher and clothing washer a few times a month to try to keep it calcium free. thanks to the poster that mentioned it (cant remember now), it has been employed and helps a bit

please dont take my view on my location as your own- or be offended by it. my thoughts and opinions are all based on my life experiences and shouldnt in any way get you upset or change the way you feel.

i will still mention what is different about the foods when asked, especially if youre wondering what you should bring down from canada. i cant tell you how disappointed i was when i first moved here. well i can tell you but ... i cant really express how depressed i felt. it may have had to do with other things as well but it was definitely the straw that broke me.

there are always things from where you used to live that you never really knew you liked/needed/comforted you so much until they were no longer available. things you see as normal or everyday where you lived before quite frequently arent available once you move, so it is sometimes nice to know in advance. as for the bottled water... i usually fill portable bottles from our 5 gallon dispenser, then refrigerate it, im not actualy buying case upon case of single bottles if that was your worry hah.

the one thing i can say i like about the states... its made me really love canada more . i look more and more forward to my visits up there and get more excited about them.

and reba the fish and chips... that was the last meal i had on my last visit in september.... so yummy.

hah i live in a place that is notorious for bad water too... we have to buy bottled water to drink , cook with, feed our pets...

if i boil our water from the tap, to say , make pasta, ill get huge beads of calcium and it turns our pots white. i could leave a glass full of water on the counter and with in hours it will be empty and the glass will be frosted white. ( yeah humidity is bad in our place too)

i think this is one of the only places that has made me feel dirtier-- and itchier-- after showering. gogo hard water.

i also fear laundry/dishes... our dispensers are covered in calcium residue, and our dishes are never actually clean. i wish jet dry worked lol

the bottled water still is hard water, but no where near as bad. we buy a 5 gallon jug each week for a dispenser and cooking purposes, it always has a bit of trace calcium, either in our machine/ dispenser or if i over boil it. the personal bottled water however is nice and yummy.

shown all the ones i wanted live im pretty convinced its not recorded because ive gone after leaf games and the link vanishes. when its time, i just go and check the page scroll to the link and it usualy have 4-5 feeds and i click one of them

last night it was so"live" that brian watching a football game, when it cut to commercial it was just random talking of the announcers and the camera wondering around and them looking at re plays for talks later on in the show, and lots of the floor , followed by a "werreeee back" when it was back on.

i did try looking up tsn/ leafs tv and got the"you cant access this" message, it made me sad. im not a fan of TSN or leafs tv broadcasts but at that point id have killed for it

i do know however that they dont sell my tooth brush so i have to buy those when i visit back home lol. even my dentist saw it and was like "OHH get me one i havent been able to find those any where"
