I would like to know about the experience of people who had the interview yesterday please.

I had my interview in SF office at this morning and received a letter telling that my case needs further review.

But now after 2 hours from the interview I just receive a text msg telling that my card is on production!

Days are getting closer for upcoming interviews! Good Luck everybody.

Look at my timeline. I got my interview notice on Oct 11 2013 (12 days before to the present date). My priority date was on Aug 1 and yours on Aug 16. So I think you are going to get your interview notice in the next 5 to 10 days (from Oct 28 or starting Nov). I wish you well!

Is there anyone from NYC who is still waiting for his interview date? My status change to "testing & interview" on September 18th. It had been 35 days so far.

Although I'm from NY, my case is processed in at NBC in Lee's Summit.

We just finished interview @ LA.

I got i-485 approved letter from officer but i didnt get the message(email/txt) from uscis.

He took my i-94 and we are rent contract, all joint name account papers.

we arrived at 1:00 that 30min early so we just looking around than going up for eight floor @ 1:15.

the officer called us around 1:40.

He asked us.

1. give all the joint name accounts

2. what is your full name? i answer than,

3. what is your madden name? i answered ,

4. Have you ever been married before? we answered,

5. This is first time you married right? we answered

6. What is date of marriage? we answered

7. Where did you get married? we answered

8. Where did you meet your wife? husband answered

9. How did you meet your wife? we have through a friend. he asked us,

10. give your friends name.

11. where was your husband living before your marriage?

12. Did your wife visit you before marriage?

13. Did you live together before marriage?

14. have you ever i-485 question (8-10 almost he asked me)

15. he asked husband's paycheck and my husband's tax and income last year.

than he asked me did you copy the marriage license? than i dont have copy than he took the marriage certificate/ i-94/ passport/driver license/

1-2 min later he give us back than he took joint name for all papers and my i-94 than he said your green card approved you will received green card around 2-3weeks later than i-485 approved mail give us.

He didnt check the photos he only asked us mostly about us.

Got done with our interview. There was a slight hiccup with our application. They did not have our I130 file yet. But the IO was super nice and went out of her way and approved us. I'll write a detailed review once we get home :-)

May everyone here post what tipy of visa are applying from for aos so we can share experiences. I'm b1/b2 visitor visa. 1 year Overstayed.

Received green card today with 10 year validity... but middle name is initialized.. is that normal..? my DL and SSN card has full name..

Got the email this morning that my interview is scheduled for November 18 (same as you Rj4). Expecting my EAD card in the mail tomorrow.

For those of you who are concerned about not receiving texts and emails, I think it's just a lapse in the system. I had the same problem. If it's really important for you to receive the emails and texts, the solution is to visit the USCIS website https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp and sign up for case updates there. It worked for me!

Hi people, just finished my interview at the sfo office. The officer just asked me questions from the i485 form and approved us on the spot. He was very very friendly. Oh yes, and asked my wife where she works. And that's it!!! Slam dunk. Took my i94s and gave me a approval letter.

At the bottom of my NOA says NBC too, but I don't have any information whether or not my case was transferred to NYC yet.

Honestly I don't know, I thought yours was transfered to NY because of what it says in your profile. At the bottom left of my NOA it says it's NBC.

Thanks you! I'm sure yours will be ready soon! At least you have your interview date, so you might even have the GC before the EAD! I'm in NYC so I guess it will be a while before I receive a interview date unfortunately.

Today I went to 3RD FLOOR

NEW YORK, NY 10038 and tried to request the ssn but they were not working because of the shutdown. No specific information or date of the reopening date. Bad news.

In my case it is my 5th week after "testing and interview" notice. I'm desperate

I got the "testing and interview" notice on September 18th, since then nothing, no interview date, no EAD/AP approvals. It's frustrating when everybody else's case is moving along and yours is stuck...

Does anyone from NYC already got the interview notice???

It's valid during a year and you can not travel with it, unless you have requested an advance of parole.

Curious, are there any limitations on the EAD card?

From what type of visa are you applying? and where is going to be your interview, in NY?

I haven't got any information about the interview still :/
