  1. TODAY IS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!! I GOT APPROVED!!! Thank you everybody for all the help in this journey. God bless you all! See you in two years!!! :)On November 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

  2. Hi, we had our Interview today in federal plaza, NYC. The officer was so cool and only asked a few questions like our names, Date of birth..... The IO asked for some document showing our names and no more, that's all. When we got out I found she took my I-94 and at the interview the IO gave us a notice saying: "Your case is being held for review........ otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case is completed".

I want to know if the fact of taking the I-94 from my passport is a good signal?.

*our case online is still on "testing and interview" (I-845)

    *I-130 Initial review.

    thanks.

  4. Good news! I'm having my interview on Nov 18 in federal plaza, (Like you too before this change). In my case no letter about any change.

    Hey Everyone,

I picked up the letter from the post office today. USCIS rescheduled my interview for December 4. There was no explanation, just 4 sentences telling me the date and time and a reminder that if I missed the appointment it will be considered an abandonment.

ashok_ajsj did your card go into production yet?

  5. THank you so much!

This will be more than enough. I spent hours putting together a folder of all this material (3" binder full of supporting material) along with a 16 page photo album / story book, and when we had our interview yesterday, I pull ONE document out for review (to prove it was an original) and nothing else.

My theory is that if you have all that with you and they can see you have that with you, then this decreases your chances of being asked to provide any of it. Just a theory, based on one interview with one USCIS official.

*IF* you have already provided a lot of the supporting material in your application, then they can normally tell if the relationship is "bona fide." Again, at least based on our experience.

One interesting note, is that owning property together is a big plus (based on a comment made by our interviewer).

Good luck, and even though it is easy to say (and easier to ignore), don't sweat it. All will be good!

    you have alot of evidence

    Good evening all,

Today, Darwin and I had our interview. Our experience is not much to speak of in terms of excitement. We got there at 10:00 and our appointment was at 10:30. We waited until 11:20 until we were called in. The interview was 10 minutes long. I received a text message telling me of a status change at 5:30. His card is in production. She also told us at the interview that the he will receive his card in 2 weeks. We are so very relieved!

Wishing everyone the best of luck!

  8. thank you so much! and congratulations!!!

    I posted it earlier.

Our IO was a very friendly lady and she barely asked us any questions. Only how we met, our address and phone number. It was about 30-40 mins and we were just casually talking. She told me in the beginning of the interview that she can't approve me today, because they messed up with my visas (I had K-1 to my husband before, but I came back home and got F-1).

She explained me how to get a new GC in 2 years and said that we will be approved within 30 days.
