Submitted application on November 16 2015 ... bio-metrics date was scheduled for December 21st but i walked in and did it on 14th of December 2015.... I got approved MAY 18 2016.

Here are the list of what i submitted,

2014 joint income tax

Lease agreement with both names

Joint health insurance and car insurance

document showing i claim her and her kids at work

Our 2014 W 2

Cable bill showing my wives name

Electric bill showing my name

A Lot of pictures of my birthday,her birthday ,our trip to KY,ST'LOUIS ,pics of ourFamily Reunion and pics of our trip to canada.

I am so happy right now because i have read about people submitting tons of document and i only submitted a few and got approved.Honestly if i had read those comments on visa journey before submitting my application i would have submitted alot of documents too.I was already preparing additional documents because i thought i was going to receive an RFE .I still don't understand why some people still got RFE after submitting more than enough evidence or am i just lucky ?

U really can't tell. It just depend on the case, some people got their EAD before their case change to Texting and Interview, some people not even got EAD untill their interview. Take time and read people timeline.

Hello,i just read your time line and i am a little relief,I got a letter for interview on the 30th of december and till now i have not gotten my work authorization.I was kinda scared because i have not seen anyone that received letter of interview before work authorization but reading your time line now gave me a lot of relief.I wish you goodluck on your interview.

If you are comparing stuff with friends who came in on a K-1, I strongly suggest that's a waste of time.

an interview for a green card is expected and is normal.

When you check things online with your multiple receipt numbers, what do you see at the status portal, on each thing ?

for application for permanent residence status it shows TESTING AND INTERVIEW,,for application for employment authorization,I-130,application for uscis travel documents are all on INITIAL REVIEW SINCE NOVEMBER 8

They may just have an early interview available or they may suspect fraud and not want to issue EAD before they have a chance to prove the relationship. How did you enter the US ?

I came with a b1/b2 visa and this is the 3rd visit in USA.

I went for bio-metrics first week in December 2013 and today i got a mail that i should appear for an interview by february.My friends said it is weird that i ought to have received my work authorization or work permit before the interview letter because i filled for i-765,1-485,i-131,i-130 all at the same time.I am a little confuse why the interview letter came before the work authorization.Does that mean i have been denied the work authorization or has anyone experienced this before?your urgent advise and contribution would be greatly appreciated.

I did my biometrics 2 weeks ago and i have not received any letter in the mail,i also tracked my application online and its been on review for the past 2 weeks and some people told me i should get my work permit 2 weeks after my biometrics.I am a little worried so i want to know if anybody on the forum that did his biometrics in noveember 3rd 2013 have received any response from USCIS.

I got my 2 years R - B1/B2 american visa in 2011. i have visited twice within the last one and half years and decided to marry my long time girl friend who is a US citizen by birth.We got married 2 weeks ago and i want to apply for a work permit and green card.I called USCIS to know the required forms and i was told i need forms i-130 and form i-485,I immediately ordered both forms.Yesterday i met someone that just went for an interview and he said i still need the G-325A form and the i-765 form. Please i need help on this issue.

Secondly,i read the i-485 form and there is a column to fill my i94 number.This first and second time i came i was given an i94 form but when i came june 2013 i was not given i94.The officer only stamped my passport and class B2 valid untill 3 DEC 2013.

I was directed by a friend to join the form that my problem would be solved .Please i am counting on you guys.Thanks so much
