    ______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

    address provided.

    ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s

supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be

reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.

  2. I have a question/concern. We fill out our DS-260, and kept "petitioner's" current address and address all along the process as the mail in address for the applicant.

Now if I move right around the time or a little before the interview of the applicant.

1- Who do I inform? NVC and USCIS both?

2- Does the applicant take the new address information with her to the interview?

    any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated

  3. Hello Everyone.

I am sorry if this topic have been covered before but i searched with not much information.

I am concern if this will raise any red flag on the DS-260

I am a US citizen and my wife will be coming to the US in about 3 months. I am living in California but my wife will be staying with my parents in Illinois when she comes, will the CO question/concern why we will live in different addresses, does this raise any red flags? i mean everyone's situation is different. The green card will be mail to my parents address as well in IL since we intend to live with them and i will move back with my parents by the end of summer.

    OR

Is it better to use my CA address? when knowing i will be moving back very shortly?

    thanks,

  5. Hi Saylin,

I found one more error on the ds260. I clearly told my document guy that i will be moving back to Illinois when my wife is here, so in about 3 months but he use my Illinois address as a permanent and current address on the ds260 but i am still living in california. do you think i will need to call NVC? i am going to starting applying for jobs in illinois and then move back once i land a job.

    thanks,

    harman.

  6. hello all, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue like me.

i am trying to fill out the I-864ez but why am i getting this error message (see below)? my selected answer for number 14 will get erased after i answer question 19 and vice versa. I tried at my work computer too.

Invalid value 'USC' specified for element 'xfa[0].form[0].form1[0].#subform[2].CheckBox1[2].#value[0].#integer[0]'. Default value of '0' will be used.
  7. Hello Saylin,

My wife decides to add my full name to her passport. Therefore, a new passport was issued after I sent the I-130 package. Since NVC requires a copy of beneficiary’s unexpired passport in the IV package, do I have to explain why the passport is different in the I-130 package? I am going to send the IV package for her.

Only my name was added and the passport number is now different, everything else remains the same.

    Sincerely,

    Gill

  8. Another question. If you get married on Dec 29, you were basically single the whole year. Do you file as married or single?

"Your filing status is based on your status as of December 31of that filing year. So for tax year 2011, your status is based on your status as of Dec.31, 2011, and not today. If you got married in January, both you and your spouse will file as single filers. If you got married in December, you can't opt to file as a single filer (you can pick married filing separately or married filing jointly."
