    Hello everyone,

I'm so overwhelmed with deteriorating health of my parents right now that I can't think straight!  I'm having a brain freeze on where to find my hubby's A number and ELIS number.  Is the A number the USCIS  number on his greencard?  As for the ELIS number, I have no clue lol?  I looked through our entire packet from 2 years ago and simply don't see it.  We are sending his ROC package in on January 25th and I really want to get everything completed asap!  Thank you all for your help!!!!! :goofy:

i think the ELIS number is on the confirmation letter when you first paid for the green card.  you should've gotten that via email.  The ELIS number is 12 digit.

  2. Is normal for people to live with their parents/in law.

I included my parent's and our driver license showing the same address. just a few lines stating how we live together and my dad owns the house and all the bills are on his name.

The only utility bill we sent in was the cell phone bill,  statement of each month for 2 years. we were approved with no RFE.

    good luck.

  3. The IO could question the lack of transactions in your accounts which is why I would also include the credit card stuff to show that you both do have financial co-mingling. It's normal that people use credit cards for everyday purchases rather than debit cards/checking accounts. As you mentioned, include a copy of the actual credit cards and then throw in several credit cards statements, even if it shows only one spouse's name.

Your living situation with in-laws is common. Have them write a notarized affidavit that you both are living with them and attesting to your bonafide relationship. Alternatively, you can explain the situation yourself in a cover letter.

Your list looks awesome. I would omit the Facebook printouts. Have you considered including healthcare power of attorneys and/or wills?

thank you, I will include several of those statements. Also, my credit card is under my husband's amazon account and we make purchase regularly from my CC. Should i include a printout showing my credit card under his account and statement from my bank showing all the amazon purchase?

I will include a letter from my father in law.

not really, since we don't have any kids or any property. we just never talked about that.

  4. Hi Everyone.

    1) my question is our checking and saving account is on both of our names, my USC spouse and I. However, we only use it to pay our bills like credit cards and student loans, we don't use this for everyday stuff like shopping or dining. will this cause any issue like lack of transactions?

we like to use our credit cards for everyday stuff and I am authorized user however it doesn't show my name on the monthly statement. should i even bother to send it even-tho it only shows my USC spouse name? i did include a photocopy of the actual credit cards showing the same account number under our names.

    2) lack of co-ownership of any property and Utility bills. we live together with my in laws and the mortgage and all the utilities bills are under my Father and Mother-in laws name therefore, I included their driver license to prove that we all live together. is this good enough?

below is the list of our relationship that i have, please advise if this is more than enough.

  6. Hi Everyone,

I received a letter by mail from USCIS stating my wife's conditional green card is expiring in few months so i am now preparing the package and send it in within the 90 days.

on the letter, I notice the city name was misspelled, can i just correct it when i fill out the I-751? or should i call in?

the correct spelling should be Naperville but they have Napperville, the zip code is correct.

    sincerely,

    -Jay

  7. Is it normal for the embassy to call before Interview? I have my interview on May 8th and today I got 2 missed calls for US embassy in New Delhi. I called back but the person at the other end said whosoever called will call back again...just confused. ..People going thru New Delhi can chip in...thnks

perfectly normal, it happened to my wife and they never call back. whoever called will call back again is the same respond she got btw. They usually call and tell you what to bring to the OFC interview, which includes fingerprint appointment letter, interview letter, ds-260 confirmation page and passport.

  8. Me too. Do we need to bring doubles?

I don't think so, for OFC we need to bring, interview letter, ofc appointment letter, ds-260 confirmation page and passport.

She got her biometrics done today. All they asked was the DS-260 confirmation, biometrics appointment letter and her original current passport.

thank you for your respond. Did they call or email her what to exactly to bring?

  9. Hello All,

    Interview scheduled at NEW DELHI

I scheduled the OFC appointment for my wife in New Delhi. We received the confirmation email with instructions and the checklist for the required documents to bring. All the documents they requested at the OFC appt are the one they want us to bring to the actual interview so I am a bit confuse why they want those at the OFC.

    Thanks,

  10. Hello,

All returned documents will be sent to the address selected below. it is asking for a mailing address so should I put my wife’s india address or my USA address?

then the following page (specify documentation delivery) ask for the closest city office where all returned documents will be sent too..................am confused.
