  1. Whoever didnt get the case transfer to NVC from USCIS and its been more than a month so you can file DHS-7001 to Homeland Security. Ombudsman office is above the USCIS and solve the individual cases. My case took 2 months to transfer from USCIS to NVC and Ombudsman really help me, also senator.

you can submit DHS-7001 online too, not gonna harm you. I have submitted two times.

  2. Hey guys i can understand how much is that annoying to stand in the queue for 30 to 60 mins. I found a website that make call to NVC and when the NVC officer available, it calls you on your cell phone or home phone.

    http://gethuman.com/phone-number/National-Visa-Center/

when you visit the website, look for a button They Call you instead hit that and new window will pop. put your phone number and done. now sit back and relax or continue your work. :)

  3. our case is being processed at nebraska servic center ..i am asking if she comes to pakistan for few months and NVC asks for text or support of affidavit .. is that ok if she sens previosu work record from feb 2013 to till this feb 2014 ?

Tax year starts from Jan 01 to Dec 31 ---> not like ( feb 2013 to feb 2014)

    2013 year finished :)

Did she already file a tax for 2013 (not 2014) ?? If yes, then she will need to send Affidavit of support with 2013 year documents like (Tax return, W2) with current job (2014) documents like (Job letter, pay stubs).

If not, then she will need to send Affidavit of support with 2012 year documents (same as above).

Suggestion: I don't know how much your wife made last year. if its enough to support you, then its really good. She will not need any sponsor for you. If she made it less money then she will need joint sponsor ..mean more documents and more headache.... so better, she travel at your interview time and take the interview together.

90% all PAKI guys put in the AP process, so my suggestion is take the interview together and show more confidence to visa officer that you are a real couple.

    good luck

  4. Hey people...I got a question regarding work visa as i m a USC but my brother is a Canadian Citizen. He is a professional IT guy and looking for work here. I know there are some special visas for Canadian citizen to work in US called "TN- category".
Question : Could company apply GC for employee who is on TN visa permit ???

  5. I checked your timeline and your case is at USCIS. Your PD is May 10, 2013, USCIS is transferring all the petition around the service centers. Not sure but your case should be approved by next month.
Your wife can travel to PAK meanwhile your case is in processing. However, after approval NVC will ask for tax return and she still can support you.

Not sure what you are trying to ask here

i mean would they accept her support of affidavit from april2013 to till feburary ? please any kinda help would be highly appriciated ?
  6. if you haven't sent the docs. to embassy yet so i would suggest that DON'T send it. I had the same issue 7 years ago when i got my immigration visa and they did typo in my personal information. I was doubted that they will take time to fix the error. I came to the US and immigration officer ask me "is there any changes in ur status" i said no and told him that there is a mistake on my visa. He checked in the system and did something in the computer and let me go...Simple.....

Ask more people so you get better idea !! Dont relay only on my suggestion.

  7. Thanks Shamroz. So looks like I was thinking it the wrong way the entire time.

So now, my question is this:

On my parent's tax return, it lists My dad first and then my mom. i,e, it looks like they filed it in a way that my dad is the head of the household (it lists the 'spouse' as my mom). So does that mean that my mom is actually the co-sponsor?

If that is the case, does it mean my dad will fill the 864 and list 0 for income, but my mom will list 864A and list her income as needed?

I would say to fill out 864 (your mom) and 864A (your dad) because Mom makes the more money than Dad.

Honestly NVC just wanna make sure that you guys can support the beneficiary in the USA and beneficiary wont ask for help from governments like (education, medicial, food benefits) fro 2 to 5 years.

  8. thanks. from what I understand and if i"m reading correct, do you actually mean that my mom will fill the 864A, and my dad will fill a separate 864A? Even though I am abroad, I have U.S income from a rental home in the U.S; so I will fill the 864 as the primary sponsor. Mom and dad are just the co/joint-sponsor

So I will send 864, mom sign 864A, and dad signs a separate 864A?

No......Technically there will be two sponsor who is sponsoring the beneficiary.

First Sponsor will be you, so you will fill out I-864. your income is not sufficient that's why you need second sponsorship.

Second Sponsor would be your mom. who is also sponsoring the beneficiary. So she will also fill out I-864 like you.

NVC requires I-864A because your mom (head of the family) filled tax return (married + jointly) so NVC want it to know second person (your dad) that your mom is sponsoring the beneficiary.

I did the same thing and got approve :)

  9. I have a question about this actually. My mom will be the only co-sponsor for us since my dad is retired and makes 0 income. I already have my mom's passport copies, paystubs, and tax. However, on my mom's tax transcript, she filed as 'married filing jointly.'

In this case, do I still need to get the passport copies from my dad, as he is listed on the tax transcript also? I only had my mom sign the i-864a. Does my dad need to sign it also?

So far what I understand is that... First you have to send your I-864 (federal tax return, w2, job letter, pay stubs, immigration proof) - - - joint sponsor married file jointly will be needed (I-864, w2, sponsor letter that they are sponsoring the beneficiary, immigration proof and I-864a).....so in your scenario your mom will fill out I-864 and dad will fill out I-864a
  10. Hey guys ...I got the case number yesterday and thought to fill out DS-261 and pay the fees. But as soon as i logged in, it throws some error.

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

I searched on the internet and people said that your case has completed in NVC but this is not possible because i just got the case number yesterday and haven't submitted any documents yet. I will contact NVC regarding this, but just wanna know anyone gone through this....

  11. Joint Sponsor Documents:
Immigration Proof (US citizen certificate/ greencard copy) -----> married + file jointly then both immigration documents.
    Tax return - Last year
    W2

    Petitioner Documents:
Immigration Proof (US citizen certificate/ greencard copy) -----> married + file jointly then both immigration documents.

    Tax return - Last year
    W2
    Job Letter

Anything else need ??????? do i need pay stub from joint sponsor side ?
